I can’t remember her name but she is/was a very popular singer in Korea & everyone performing had to do their rendition of one of her songs & oh boy! did Sohyang do something special & totally unexpected. Just when you think that surely there is nothing left for Sohyang to blow us away with, she comes up with this. The whole arrangement, by Sohyang obv, was amazing & the dancers were amazing, which took my attention but when watching it again I realised that sohyang, although she wasn’t singing, did the musical arrangement for this part too, which is way out of her comfort zone. As you said, sohyang brought the energy, which is amazing because we have to remember that we aren’t talking about some young pop star here, we are talking about a mature woman who was 45yrs old a few days ago (5thApr)!!!!!!!!! No problem for a cared modest singer like her even in her late 50s. Following her revelation, persistent workouts, No alcohol, no cigarette, less caffeine, less big chatter, less loud laugh, frequent watering and etc are kept. That's why she's refused a lot of contracts offered from big companies worldwide and is enjoying the least stages except for in the churches worldwide as well.

It's only new to people who've only seen her contest performances like Immortal Songs rather than her regular CCM/gospel work.
It was a competition and she WON. I felt the second half of the song she sang for the WESTERN WORLD saying see i can do big production numbers with dance. She brought more of the WEST in this video. She brought Hip Hop in her arrangement. Just recently bought you 5 cups of coffee love her video FATE

I never liked the original song nor the original singer singing this song… because the original song was never able to generate any such emotion that Sohyang could for me. It’s like re-listening to the original Bridge over troubled waters by Simon and Garfunkle…. When you re-listen to those old classics then you understand why they didn’t impact you as much when you heard them as a child compared to how it hits you when Sohyang does it. Maybe it’s because Sohyang’s too pretty!?? Whatever the reason, this performance opened my eyes to the beauty of this song and lyrics. Thanks again for your double reaction!❤
