Hey Ms. Faye! You are a gift from the Universe! You help with kindness. I did a lot of things you speak of before I knew he was a narcissist. It worked! I went No Contact mid last summer. He got in once, but I locked him out again. I feel so free. I still have a need for knowledge, because the most hurtful part was that I let it happen to me. I’m sending much thanks and love.
Just last year, I stopped talking to someone I knew over 15 years. He tried to ruin my birthday. I mean, he could never remember my birthday, or if it was a holiday, but could remember details about everything else. I had him over a week after my birthday, and he gifted me money. He's never gifted me anything for my birthday. He then said I got over on him, and kept asking to give it back. He then proceeded to get intoxicated, and demanded I be intimate with him. I told him he needed to call himself a ride and go home. He then kept trying to pressure me to sleep with him, while he's staggering all over my kitchen. He saw how much of a good time I was having playing vinyl, and he just wanted to ruin the mood. I know he knew he messed up, because he kept calling my phone. He never does that, so I knew it was an agenda. I ignored him. I was always the one calling, texting, checking on him, picking him up, always making sure he was okay. I just now received a random text saying "Well, did you die or what." LMAO...what a way to talk to someone. It's never "How are you", or anything of meaningfulness. I remember when I'd go no contact in the past, he'd say "Oh, so you got a new boyfriend or girlfriend. No, I just moved on with my life. They can't stand to see you happy, or if you better yourself.
55 years of abuse before I realized my mother is a narcissist. She has done so much damage to me and my kids I doubt I can heal it all in this lifetime. I also have horrible guilt that I exposed my kids to that. 😩 One of them is still wrapped up in her trap and shows all signs of becoming just like her. 😢

I chose to head in the other direction. To quote that fondly remembered 80s cartoon G.I. Joe "Knowing is half the battle." It true. Thank you for sharing so many pearls of wisdom! Hearing these explanations on healing, is next level to my naivete. Married, I have suffered. My children have suffered. We had to go through a lot of what you talked about but without the language to reflect. Now, it seems mostly, present life on the other side of what was a living nightmare. Anyway, I fought back when the physical abuse happened and then I kicked him out. Scary. I confided to my sister. She was amused, was all. Please, that the universe keeps these monsters away from me forever. Peace. Blessings.

I was smiling when I came to meet him at a local bar and he was in a foul mood and soo angry and drunk he was an alcoholic too . Just to ruin my day ! Tried to grab me by my arms to take me to his place we lived together I told him I’ll call the cops if he touched me again!

For a lot of DL men it’s not about disrespecting women at all. For some, it’s about not completely being judged and having their lives destroyed by what’s going on in their bedroom. Many women are told right up front. My only concern is your message tends to generalize and that can be dangerous because there are too many types of sexual categories out here to ever generalize. So it’s best to tell YOUR experience and then share YOUR PERSONAL solution. That’s left out too often. Many who are out here deceiving people are looking for help for their condition. However help for the perpetrators are not offered. Let’s try to offer solutions for everyone. The perpetrator and the victims.
Are you saying you are a perpetrator? Only you can find your solution. Ms. Faye does offer forgiveness, but no outsider can solve your problem for you. You have to do your own spiritual work, just as she had to do her own. It begins with taking responsibiilty.
@Sun Shine Rose 🌹 My narcissists are my mother and both older and younger sister's. It's a cloister of narcissistic craziness ...they love and hate each other. I stay away, I've never had the energy even as a child. I don't allow that in my life. Glad you're free from all that nuttiness.
