Things happened behind the screen can not be proved that easily. At present NOTA is a paper tiger as far as my opinion is concerned. The rules governing the election of Peoples' Representatives are to be amended. I couldn't understand the reason behind ignoring this vital aspect while introducing the NOTA.

Let's say god forbid, with some malafide intent all candidatures in constituency was rejected except one whom the people don't want as their representative, people have no choice but to accept that lone candidate. Instead, if NOTA option is available, people will have the option of rejecting that candidate.
Of course the current NOTA concept is a joke. It has to ammended as being discussed that if NOTA is majority, then None of the candidates win and re- start the process. That would be logical.

Even if a poll is held and NOTA gets more votes than the candidates, the candidate polling the highest (ecxluding NOTA) will be the winner. NOTA is just to know how many voters reject all the candidates. NOTA can never be the winner.
