Note: I forgot to mention that I put some foam in the lid of the box to give the pedals some padding and hold them in place while carrying the case. I also added a ground wire to the case just to be safe.
For anybody wondering where you can get a case like that what you want to look for is a typewriter case. Some of them are pretty good (the tops come completely off). I found a decent one in a military surplus store for 30 bucks.
Yea I always find a glitch in my planning and have to extrapolate a bit, but that's part of the challenge... If it were too easy pedalboard companies would go out of business. Nice job!
I really like the idea of placing input, output, and power supply on the case itself. I was thinking about doing the same with this briefcase I was going to convert into a pedalboard but this kind of metal suitcase conversion seems like a much better medium, I'll be scanning my local thrift stores for something similar. Cheers!
I'm glad you like it! I was also looking in thrift stores for a while but I couldn't find anything, so I ended up just getting this off of facebook marketplace

This is a great project. The only thing I'd add would be some rubber stops on the bottom of the box so the board doesn't slip around. Cool project.

Hi,
Can you tell us where you got the case?
Thank you.
Yep, I got it on facebook marketplace. I looked at local thrift stores first but couldn't find anything there.
Nice job ! Where did you get the case for this project ?
Thank you! I got it on facebook marketplace because I couldn't find anything in my local thrift stores.
This is pretty much what I’m looking to do. why waste valuable pedal money on the board?! P.S., nice scarlet, Begonias! 💀🌹⚡️
Thank you!
