It's great to see a young Chuck Jones with so much vitality during his earlier years. I had only seen him in documentaries when he was much older.
Yeah this time, Chuck was 63
Chuck is 111 years old now.

Kind of a bummer Tex Avery wasn’t in interviewed
Maybe it's because that Tex didn't really like Clampett anymore at this time.
Tex was definitely my favorite at Termite Terrace. Many who knew him say he was fantastic human being and extremely funny
And Robert McKimson could’ve been interviewed too. Frank Tashlin already passed away 3 years prior so bummer they couldn’t have him

Such classic pieces of film. The Looney Tunes will never die, same with Tom and Jerry, I cannot see any of these cartoons dying off anytime soon.
Everything about the Looney Tunes cartoons were fantastic, the gags, the timing, the great cast of characters like Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, etcetera, and of course, such fantastic and timeless cartoons that people still laugh at 80 years later.
My favourite Looney Tunes character is, without a doubt, Wile E. Coyote. Everything from his facial expressions to the gags involving him and the ACME instruments he uses to catch the Road Runner. Everything about Wile E. Coyote is great.
Now obviously, we did have some absolutely awful eras of cartoons, the Buddy cartoons, the W7 cartoons with Cool Cat and Bunny & Claude, the Larriva 11, which is essentially all those really hideous looking and sounding Wile E. Coyote cartoons from the mid-late 1960s. All of those really terrible eras. But, if you have Friz, Chuck, Tex, Bob or Robert in the director's seat, and Mel and several others doing the voices, you know you're in for a good cartoon.
Trust me when I say I can watch Looney Tunes all day long if I wanted to. Same with Tom and Jerry. There's absolutely nothing wrong with someone on their late teens watching these cartoons, because, like Friz said in this film, "The cartoons that we designed were never designed in our minds for children."
Cartoons are an art form, not just distractions to keep little ones quiet for a few hours. I can see the art and the passion these men put into these cartoons, hence why I can watch them non stop.
I have this on the first 'Looney Tunes Golden Collection', but If you want to watch A more rich, and deep look into Termite Terrace, I recommend 'The Merrie History Of Looney Tunes'. from TH-camr Kaiserbeamz.

I'm familiar with this as it appears on a DVD as a bonus extra. However, as I was watching, a Bob Clampett scene appeared that I had not seen until today. It has him explaining Tweety and and the line from the small bird 'he fall down and go...BOOM!'. I don't know why that was cut from the DVD presentation but it was. I'll be on the look out for any other things that may have been edited out for the DVD version.
I'm guessing because of the previous release of Bugs Bunny Superstar, this documentary didn't use the pre-1948 WB cartoons that, at the time, were under United Artists.
Later in 1986, the pre-1948 Warner Bros. cartoons were under Ted Turner's company.

Clampett just seems like such a friendly guy
Jones didn't think that sadly. He painted it as Clampett taking the director's chair because of a fake sickness, really it was Iworks falling out which got clampett the job... Clampett does sound like a nice guy... his directing is in my opinion alot better than Chuck Jones
Mr. Clampett desperately needed a hat stylist and somebody from NASA to decommission that jacket. JK with love, but...
@badad0166 That’s his hair style back then as seen from many interviews he did but I do get the joke. But I do think that Clampett needs some recognition as he was ( in my opinion) one of the greatest animation directors of all time yet he’s always sandwiched between the others like Tex Avery and Chuck Jones and others.

I happen to be related to the Clampetts and although I never did meet Bob, knowing the family as well as I do, and gathering from them, I can vouchsafe - he LIKED his hair like that, and he LIKED his jacket like that, and as such, he LIKED his pencil and paper in the exact same "hair and jacket" style to create the magnificent magical unique "hair and jacket" type cartoons we enjoyed and still enjoy today! Truth is, you can spot a true genius a mile away sporting a similar hair "hat"and "NASA" jacket... and by the same token, Jack can usually can be spotted trailing along the sidelines of these great people sporting his signature look, spouting his great subsequent wisdom 🫏💭
