That last couple minutes was stomach churning and revolting.
This is so typical of most of the American mindset today! They're glad to have barriers up for everyone else now that they're in the game they want to be in, instead of valuing a competitive atmosphere and letting the ones with the best offerings win.
People wonder why the income gap is getting bigger, well this is why! It's not the 1%. It's people thinking it's ok to shut the door behind them and want the gov't to keep out their competition for them.
Instead of just being the best, they want to be the best that could cut through the mountain of red tape.
She even expressed her disapproval for the 100k sprinkler system she had to put in buy then goes on to say it's OK because she knows it'll keep others from entering the market and competing against her. Gross!

@@taiwilson2131 Hahaha I think you need to go back and study what socialism is. My comment could be called many things, but pro government it is not.

Yes I set up a call for her coaching to find out we are both in Missouri and she said that my venue was too close which it's probably 2 hours away from each other that it was a conflict of interest for her. Seriously she's putting herself out there like she's the one with all the answers instead of being someone that is truly trying to help venue owners. I don't believe it's genuine at all. Heartbreaking because I'm a new venue and I believe in myself and she really isn't giving much confidence or encouragement to other venue owners. I certainly wouldn't take her advice or listen to this video and take it with a grain of salt. Yeah it's common Sense check with your building codes to see if you can do a wedding venue she's just putting a lot of unnecessary stress and doubt on the whole subject I believe. Just ridiculous there are plenty of brides out there for everyone she's not helping anyone as far as I'm concerned she's a little overconfident with her own self and feels like she's beating others down.

I am currently renting tables, chairs, tents, linen, props, setting up dessert tables for all occasions, and more to afford a venue next year. I have been documenting it on my TH-cam channel. It's hard work, but I know it will pay off in the end.

I would love to hear more about tips on starting our websites, what software programs to use. Do we need automation??

We have been in business for the last 7 years. Pay your bills upfront if you can. Take as little of a paycheck as you can. You will survive these bad times. This year has turned out to be best and I expect next year to be better.

That’s definitely a hack!!! Paying at the beginning of the year (for marketing or whatever you can) can really free up cash flow later in the year for other opportunities. And sometimes, suppliers provide discounts for paying all at once

I am a successful venue owner that just hired a local day-of-coordinator. How do you feel about the venue paying her the normal hourly wage during the time that the bride''s family is paying her to be the day-of-coordinator during the same hours?

Hi Shannon! Off the cuff, I don't like the double dipping (personally). I think it becomes a conflict of interest and potentially could get very complicated. I would approach the coordinator and ask if she would be willing to work under you (the venue). YOU charge the couple and then pay her some of that. You can take advantage of the margin in the service offering, have more control, and align the interests of the coordinator to yours!

Where would you find a venue for sale?

      Reno/Tahoe

That’s a great question, there are different posting boards that people post their venues for sale, but another interesting area could be to check Facebook groups of venue owners!
