High praise there saying you'll definitely be back 😊 that's all an owner could wish to hear. Great video, lovely to get an insight into the pizza scene in Tokyo. They all looked incredible.
Oh man, that was the best episode! My mouth was watering from start to finish... those canoli reminded of the one's in Melbourne... so good I could die! Funniest thing was you wearing a white shirt... and not a speck of pomodoro on it. Well done!
Shizuka is among the best in her reporting . She makes it seem so effortless in her descriptions and explanations . Shizuka makes the experience inviting , fun yet professional. #JapnbyFood tours is definitely on my bucket list .
2:55 agreed, mmm definitely looks like it would satisfy my craving for a taste of Italy and Japan, and I too start bursting into Italian when the pizza hits the spot, those cannoli's look yummy as well, I want to take them 🍰
Yet another amazing content! This is by far my favorite Japan food channel. Would love to hear Shizuka's take on The Pizza on 38th (Pizza Omakase) and another gem in the Higashiazabu area, Pizza Studio Tamaki (PST).
Ooo...the wagyu pizza actually got me salivating. I love how creative Japan gets with pizza. I wish we could get even the Dominos variations here in America.
I wish this video came sooner! We were in tokyo two months ago and we always wondered where some of the best pizza you can get in that wonderful city! Definitely going back to this video when we visit again. :)
Fancy pizza is nice but I still prefer the small, hole-in-the-wall type places myself. Found a tiny one in Asakusa right by my hotel and had a couple of slices that would do New York proud.
Shizuka’s pizza looked so enticing that I could almost imagine its delightful aroma. I’m delighted to hear that you finally satisfied your cannoli craving.
I like your latest food vlogg today. At this hour. 15hr. About pizza restaurant it's really good.. It's very nice your video. Keep going making a lots of food video. Stay safe and you look good and beautiful. Your vlogg.. 👍
Honestly, in my experience, in Japan Italian food is very bad 95% of the time (mostly due to the kind of mass produced cheese that they put in everything). Shockingly so considering how high their basic standards are all other kinds of food. By this 95% I'm talking places like Saizeriya and other family restaurants, and the pasta sides in otherwise respectable lunch places, and the carbonara/pizza/etc dishes at 7/11 or Lawson. And even many of the pizzerias in touristy places that look superficially legit. But the 5% of the time when it's done by artisans that actually understand Italian food, like these ones, it's world class.
Asia is cosmopolitan and wealthy though. There are also millions of Western expats that live there and 7 out of 10 of the most visited cities on earth are in Asia. Best believe that there are numerous famous Italian and Italian American chefs with restaurants all over Asia, so you can definitely get excellent Italian food in Asia. Nevermind, the highly technical and skilled Asian chefs that can recreate any cuisine well.
Reminds me of my trip to Rome 15 years ago-enjoying Margherita pizza every day, paired perfectly with a refreshing Peroni beer! (which you missed it at later scene)
There's a place here in Montreal that makes great Margarita Pizza, and this video just made me crave for it. If it wasn't 1030pm as I watch this, I may have just left the house to grab a bite XD But this is great video, makes me want to see other Non-Japanese food in Japan that are great!
Anderson is a wonderful host in this show. Her Canadian accent is most welcome. I am watching every episode in preparation for a trip to Japan in March. My first time back in more than 25 years. The language lessons are the most valuable for me but I also might find some restaurants to go to.
Definitely a Canadian accent there coming through. As a Londoner myself it's definitely far removed from the distinctive Auzzy or Kiwi. You can tell those instantly.
As a NYer i really dislike neapolitan (soggy wet pizza). When I moved here this is the most common and made me miss a NY slice. But Savoy in azabu blew my mind with their craft. Ill have to check out these places now.
And not a squirt of mayo to be seen! I like the branch of L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Ebisu too, just the two varieties of pizza on offer, just like the original in Naples.
helloo shizuka, please collab with sonny again, its gonna be fun to watch All hail Best Ever Food Review Show !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
I've actually never tried "authentic" pizza in Japan. Whenever we have pizza in Japan, we go for the "weird" stuff because, you know, it's Japan! In Okinawa, we went to a Shakey's and tried the squid ink pizza. It was actually pretty good!
Of course, I watched 👀 Shizuka hosted the show. Again, she brought of some great diverse content that is non-japanese about the Tokyo food scene. The pizza 🍕 looked great and was quite surprised to learn Tokyo has such authentic offerings. Btw Shizuka, if you are reading comments, we have noticed the physical change. You look more beautiful than ever. Thanks the the vlog.
Does everyone pick up slices of neopolitan pizzas in japan - it's usually more of a knife and fork affair? Do they make the pizzas differently somehow so you can pick it up?
The real problem is the price. Tokyo has any kind of food you can imagine. Unfortunately the prices are unimaginable... The real challenge is to find good and affordable food in Tokyo... Particularly pizza will be expensive anywhere in Japan, because most of the ingredients like cheese, tomatoes, flour, are all expensive.
Looks delicious, and tasty! Love your content, you should give a shoutout to Dave Portnoy (One bite, #everybodyknowstherules); then try/review more of their pizzas! 🤤
If you just don't see it as Pizza you can have some nice dough with cheese in Japan. But i guess i'll give it another shot next time. "Fireoven" is totally a word Shizuka :)
Let's applaud Shizuka for the bold/reckless move of eating pizza in a white top. 😱
Never once had an accident eating pizza. Burgers are more of an issue because some can be saucy hidden between the buns.
She eats very clean and carefully. It'd be funny to see her eat wings or ribs lol
Your Italian accent is perfect, bravissima 👍
Yes plz, more pizza in Tokyo! 🙏🍕
Yes please more pizza places in Tokyo 🍕🗼
High praise there saying you'll definitely be back 😊 that's all an owner could wish to hear.
Great video, lovely to get an insight into the pizza scene in Tokyo. They all looked incredible.

Shizuka, with this name and her talent attracting so much attention throughout the world.
Shizuka you deserve a partnership in this company 🙏🏻
Xoxo
@9:34 "The star of the show" - Nice pun there 😂🤌🤌
Everything looked delicious.
I love how Shizuka skips from speaking English to Japanese.
SO beautiful-sounding. 🌷♥️🌷
Oh man, that was the best episode! My mouth was watering from start to finish... those canoli reminded of the one's in Melbourne... so good I could die! Funniest thing was you wearing a white shirt... and not a speck of pomodoro on it. Well done!

The Japanese have to perfect every food and I so respect that. If it isn’t good, don’t let people eat it. Best and most beautiful host ever!
Buwahahahahahaha!!!
Been to both places, they're really delicious
2:55 agreed, mmm definitely looks like it would satisfy my craving for a taste of Italy and Japan, and I too start bursting into Italian when the pizza hits the spot, those cannoli's look yummy as well, I want to take them 🍰

Taking notes ✍

Fancy pizza is nice but I still prefer the small, hole-in-the-wall type places myself. Found a tiny one in Asakusa right by my hotel and had a couple of slices that would do New York proud.
We want all the pizzas! Please. And thank you ❤
Yes, more Tokyo pizza please! Vegan, too? Love Shizuka❤
I love the way you describe the food. ❤

That first margarita 🍕 looked DAM good!!!!! 😮
Pizza looks delicious!!!
Amazing episodes , Italian's food seem surprising good in Asia countries . 10:28 Shizuka can't wait to flexing her Italian 😂😂.

Yes,we need more pizza videos
I like going to Pizza Studio Tamaki and Seirinkan. But Pizza Strada has been on my radar for a while now, too.
Reminds me of my trip to Rome 15 years ago-enjoying Margherita pizza every day, paired perfectly with a refreshing Peroni beer! (which you missed it at later scene)
very good host. polished.

Star of the show...I see you did that.
Been to *Pizzeria da Peppe Napoli Sta’ Ca”* and it was great! and I live in NYC...

I’ve also been all over Italy and confirm that Nikko has one if the best pizzas in the world.
When pizza is life 🍕
Japan is blessed with some of the best pizzas. My personal fav is PIZZA SEIRINKAN near Naka-Meguro Station.
Be warned of the long queues.
Ive had Marumo, PST, Savoy, 38th and L'Sieme. I think pst ranks highest for me.
TBH I rarely had an idea of eating pizza when I was on my Japan trip until I saw this video 😍 It looks like they bring Italy to Japan
Looking amazing piazza
Yum! Pizza!
Pizza Studio Tamaki is my go-to for Tokyo Neapolitan pizza, followed by Pizza marumo.
I went to Japan in June 2024 and i enjoyed it lots
As a NYer i really dislike neapolitan (soggy wet pizza). When I moved here this is the most common and made me miss a NY slice. But Savoy in azabu blew my mind with their craft. Ill have to check out these places now.
Two of my favorite things, Shizuka and Pizza :)
If you want a great pizza rec, The Pizza Bar on 38th in Nihonbashi is something special 👌
The only pizza place i've been on my last trip to Japan was in Pizzeria Spontini in Harajuku.. 😅❤
Savoy Tomato & Cheese in Azabujuban is great, and their ¥1,100 lunch set is amazing value for the money.
Can u do a “top 5 or top 10 Shizuka food video?”
And not a squirt of mayo to be seen! I like the branch of L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Ebisu too, just the two varieties of pizza on offer, just like the original in Naples.
The canol8 should be filled at the last moment, as you know.
helloo shizuka, please collab with sonny again, its gonna be fun to watch
All hail Best Ever Food Review Show !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
These two places are about to get very, very busy...
Wow...some very traditional pizza techniques with Japanese take on some pizzas. Was thinking the show was going to be weird Japanese Pizza Hut stuff😂
If anyone is in Osaka I highly recommend Hughes Pizza 🍕 😋
Tokyo seems like an awesome place wished I had the $$ to travel there
Pizza in Azabudai hills and Team labs borderless make a great day!
I've actually never tried "authentic" pizza in Japan. Whenever we have pizza in Japan, we go for the "weird" stuff because, you know, it's Japan! In Okinawa, we went to a Shakey's and tried the squid ink pizza. It was actually pretty good!
More pizzuka!
What did I just discover this DAYS AFTER MY JAPAN TRIP
oh god that's some good pizza there.
I love Japanese pizza 🍕
My mouth was watering while watching your video. Please eat the food behind the camera next time.
PIZZA!!! 🤩🤩
Japan By Food what was used to film this episode.

I need to go to japan 🇯🇵

10:20 the license plate is from france
I enjoyed Spontini in Harajuku
Sure, send Shizuka to more pizzerias :-)
i liked The Pizza Shimokitazawa,.. for ny style... but my fam didnt. Though I think they're wrong its very close to an authentic nyc slice
Shizu enjoyed the 2nd pizzeria more. 🙂
bomb diggity!!
7:36
This may come off as blasphemy, but when I visited Japan, I thought the pizza quality was far superior than anything in the states.
Pizza in Japan officially beat out any pizza in all of Italy, fact.
❤❤❤❤
😍❤
