It is believed that the restaurateur Josef Wolontis, who ran the place from 1883 to 1904, is behind the phenomena. It is said that with his tricks, he wants to ensure that the order of the good old days is preserved in the restaurant. I personally claim that it's bs, but a cool story nonetheless

It depends, everything is expensive when you're broke 😂 Jokes aside, Finland is the 21st most expensive country in the world, so everything here costs quite a lot but the city is filled with quite affordable all you can eat buffets for about 15€/person. For accommodation i would say that Airbnb has the best value, it's practically impossible to find a hotel less than 120€/night. I hope that was helpful and greetings from Finland 🙂
