  • **CORRECTION: LOOP KNOTS** If you want to catch 2 crappie at a time, you gotta have 2 baits on your line. You dont need a bunch of swivels and stuff they sell for tandem rigs. 2 jig heads and the line on your fishing rod is all it takes. Watch this simple tutorial on how to tie a double or tandem rig!

    You just won the Internet on how to tie a double Croppie jig.
    This is the way I was always taught, but sometimes I would brain fart and mess up my line and then wind up with a top jig that hung down 8 inches, and never did quite figure out why sometimes it would be good and sometimes it wouldn’t and you just gave that trick, thank you and happy fishing

    I replied to this video a year ago. A good video to revisit for a refresher. And guess what - I got me a boat! A 15’ dory I’m naming for my 2 daughters, so this year I will row, row, row my boat Jenn Leigh down the stream, around the lakes, and out on the bay. If you find yourselves in southern Maine, look me up and I can row you gents around. Thanks again for sharing the knowledge. Good info well presented.

  • @jonathanlapointe6262
    @jonathanlapointe6262 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's pretty similar to how I tie my Loop knot. only sometimes I use something a little smaller and harder than my finger, like a screwdriver. It makes the loop much smaller which doesn't allow things to get caught up as easily and it slides off the screwdriver easier than my finger. I don't know why people make the loop knot so complicated! It's the first knot we ever learn. really it's just an overhand knot. And I have tested this knot side-by-side with the other Loop knots and this one is just as strong

    • @HookCityTV
      @HookCityTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      To make the loop smaller hold the loop in one had close to the eye of the hook then pull to cinch down

    Thanks for the knot lesson. I use doubles all the time & prefer loops on jigs instead of close knots which don't give a horizontal presentation if you catch a fish of pull up into a snag having the knot tighten at an angle different than a 90*. Easier than my previous knot which is too to do without putting on magnifying old folks glasses in the sun.

    I like that knot, I do it like you do. I see some folks wrap 3 or 4 times around their 2 fingers (whereas we wrap once.) @@HookCityTV Do you suppose they do that cause they think the knot is stronger than how you and I do it? I have asked several guys, and they just say "Thats how I was taught." It seems like it's too much extra line being used

    • @HookCityTV
      @HookCityTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1
