hey! I've been in love with your flow since I saw you at flame years and years ago (I was the dance teacher). I was curious what recommendations you have for dancers wanting to get into staff, re: weight, length, material etc for easiest movement and free flow dance. thank you!!!!

I would recommend a staff that is the height of your nose to chin, with a skinny diameter (5/8) from aluminum or carbon fiber, with ample weight at each ends. I use the Flowtoys composite contact staff with double mass as my go-to practice and light-up staff (www.flowtoys.com/composite-contact-flowstaff-4-capsule/). It's pricey, but it has a lifetime warranty(!), they have STELLAR customer service, it feels beautiful to dance with and the LED lights are really amazing and gorgeous to perform, take photos or media with. There are a variety of websites that sell excellent fire & practice staves as well such as Flow Factory, Dark Monk, Ninja Pyrate, & Synergy Flow Arts : )
