It makes me so sad to hear that Never Enough is about Finland. :( I really hope that changes some day. As a Finn, I feel like the media has a big part on this. I really hope Tarja would get some more positive media recognition. You really deserve it!
For me it’s sad that Tarja was more or less pushed out of Finland and the finns instead took part for the alcoholics guys in NW. She had a stroke 2018 and she was lucky to become fully recovered. The Year after she realesed the most private album RAW. She grows more and more and I’m so happy that she and Marko Hietala have become friends and share stage on tours.
I would've never thought Never Enough was about Finland! That was a surprise. That's my least favorite song from the album (I prefer the Left In The Dark production) but that's really not saying much, as every single song there is amazing. I'm glad Tarja has many fond memories of this album because so do I. It's a wonderful, colorful body of work and it deserves way more praise. No wonder even Anette Olzon loved it!!
Tarja said it when Never Enough came out in 2013. It was about the media in her home country being cruel towards her.

I knew about this issue. It is very sad that Tarja wasn't appreciated by her home country back then...then the Voice of Finland changed things a bit.
Just adore hearing her speak.500 letters still gives me chills !!!!!! In my mind Finland is TARJALAND !!!!!!!!!!! Get with it Finland she is the most exquisite artist on the planet ☮☮💘💘💥💥

Her best work in my opinion. Rock and symphonic couldn't have a better blend. Imagine if Eye of the Storm and the ballad Into the Sun had been on the album, it would've turned it into her best not only for me, but for all of Tarja's fan. I consider those 2 tracks included even though they are cleary not meant to be there. Also I must say that the 2 nevers that plague this album are Neverlight, which I grew a bit fond of, and Never Enough, whilst the lyrics are good on this one, everything is of musically about it. I know that Never Enough was used a song where each member of the band would have his moment and shine with a cello solo, a guitar solo, a bass solo or a drum blast, that's the only instance I like of this song. That being said, these 2 tracks are meant to be the heaviest on the album, and they are, but unfortunetely they are pretty bad, if not only for that awful distorsion.
I like Neverlight but I feel the same way about Never Enough. Oh, how I wish that Eye Of The Storm had been part of the album!! At least Into The Sun got to be a deluxe track. But both songs are among my favorites and they deserved to be on the main tracklist!
@@EnzoMPonce13 Yes, but Into the Sun came as a digital track with the downloadable code, so it not really a proper release. Let's hope that the next album combines everything Tarja learned by now and turns it into the best album, period.

Colours, for me, was when Tarja started to become more than just the ex-singer. When her work became interesting on its own merits. The artwork is clever, organic and fitting, the music is genuinely good. Lucid Dreamer, Mystique voyage and Darkness are a remarkable jump from her two previous albums. Even with Darkness being a cover, it is still my favourite to date. Never enough and 500 letters are the weakest. Never enough might be my least favourite song from her. I just can't stand it. I am shocked that it is about her relationship with Finland. I always got the impression that, in spite of being declared the voice of Finland, and being their biggest ambassador overseas, she was "low-key" boycotted there. It is not a secret, she doesn't get invited to perform there as much as her counterparts. Slowly things are changing, she is doing more concerts and public sponsoring, but I am surprised she was so candid about it.
