  • Hi Folks!
    In this video I'm showing you, a bronze bushing is being replaced by a needle bearing.
    As always, I'm using my Sherline machines, lathe and Mill and love them.
    I'm also showing you my new products, the Quick Change Tool Post for mini lathe, and the Slim Vise for Sherline mill machine.
    Available on the Tryally.com
    I hope you enjoy, and comment.

    Why did you made a geared motor drive on the cross slide on the lathe? The sherline motor adapters are not good? Or other reason?

    • @tryally
      @tryally  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ buundy
      Sherline's adapters are great, but I did it this way because I didn't have much space on my table.

    Hi Luiz, may I ask how you manually find and register a few coordinates? Thank you.

    • @tryally
      @tryally  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi buddy,
      In this in specific case, I had found the correct location manually, only using a solid carbide pin to visualizing through the rivet hole.
      When I need precision, I use a Lever Dial Gauge Test Indicator.
      In order to make the G code manually, this is my way:
      Using the MDI on Mach3, I created a starting place and put zero in the machine coordinate, after that I move the machine until next location, so by slow movement (low feed rate) I adjust the best location by eyes, (don't need extremely precision) I register again and go to next point and so on until the last hole.
      So, to register all the coordinates, I'm just using the MID, and also to generate the G code.
      This is the way: press START TEACH - press MDI IN and type the coordinate one by one and press enter for each one, in the final press STOP TEACH and after press LOAD EDIT, after that, go to START RUN, the G code will ready to final edit will be there.
      I hope you can understand my bad English.
