If you want to know Peterson better you will find about everything on YT. You wiil find his books on internet. And maybe you will understand why is a professional youtuber and.... stage speaker in US and less in Canada. All his fall from a real profession to this cheap show with red & blue costume. By the way, in Canada, color are in oposite position. Not on his costume....

I figured that’s what some of the more left pages would write but it’s very disingenuous. But mostly it has been a media blackout on it. I wonder how many people attended. I think this is why so many liberals tend towards either extreme acts or tribal complacency: they lack the emphasis on the importance of their personal conduct in the world, that it actually matters a whole lot in regards to solving the problems that concern them. You can't have a victim mentality and attend positively to your responsibilities in life such that you are not a burden to others nor a detriment to yourself.
If you did take up that responsibility, you don't have time to worry about how others may perceive you, no time to waste on demonstrating performative acts. When we accept our own problems, acknowledge the possibility of real virtue and excellence, undertake that work within our selves, and from there, try helping even just one other person, that is a challenge enough for a lifetime.

A public intelectual as Peterson, as is so often defined, is taking any responsability for what is preaching? How exactly? Declarative? In the face of God? He was quite indecided about God until he had his "trepanation" and blood replacement in a russian clinic.

Pretty much that. We see it all over the comment sections by them. They get lost with the simplest adult-level concepts.
They're not trying to understand anything that doesn't agree with their own ideological dogma and whatever is dispensed as truth by the establishment authorities, which they accept automatically and don't bother to analyze critically. They think truth is determined by its source. "Wrong" source = False information. Anyone not in lockstep with the Progressives in their ideas and values is a "wrong" source.

The reason that society is decaying and collapsing is because people are no longer abiding by the ideas laid out by this man in the last 20 minutes. People today by and large care about one thing and one thing only: themselves.

Or put another way, the post-modernists and other enemies of the Enlightenment realized one of the fastest ways to destroy a society, culture, or people is to alter their stories...the cultural myths they use to bolster themselves and unite them with one another. In particular, go after the stories they tell themselves about themselves. Remove the heroism....the sacrifice.....the constant striving toward virtue.....the wholesomeness and goodness imbedded in those stories. Destroy that and you destroy the people.
As CS Lewis once put it (and I paraphrase because I cannot remember it precisely): Since children are so sure to encounter monsters in life.....let them at least hear stories of heroism, stoicism, and courage.
And so it is with a culture at large....and we've let them completely re-write our stories.
Please consider help for us individuals trampled by this over the last 10 years.

Peterson spoke years ago about hierarchy, about that most of us having just a job, very few a career. About diference in payments because the boss is the boss, 24/7. He spoke about patriarchy and order.... That one in ten is practical an idiot , with IQ under 80, and even army cannot have a use of such a man. That men are better payed than women, because the lay bricks, are filling the prisons more than women, and are more suicidals than women.
What exactly do you expect from this man, who cannot reach the exelence in his own profession? What? He published books? About what? Rules of life? Cleaning your room? Telling always the truth.... or at least not lie? He never heard the concept of lying through omission then.

Yep, the puritan Christian idea is sacrifice and work. But notice that, throughout history, those who preach this very often are not the ones sacrificing themselves. So sure, not everything is power and oppression - especially since the enlightenment - but most certainly it's still there. In fact, questioning hierarchies and inequality is very much a part of the Western enlightenment tradition as well, you don't have to be a postmodernist for doing that.
Being able to suck people in by telling them a story about how they should just accept the way things are and thus carry an inequitable quantity of sacrifice is itself one major source of power and oppression and we see it in spades here.

I love this man, such a great intellect, such a great educator, a man of moral courage and integrity. I just worry sometimes that Jordan does too much and doesn't get enough rest. There's nothing quite like listening to Jordan rip into the French intellectuals and their nihilistic post-modernism. You could argue that France has been pretty decadent from the 1789 revolution onwards. Thanks to Jordan for a great speech and thanks to Bret Weinstein for inviting him along. I attended this event in DC and loved Jordan’s message! As usual, Jordan Peterson hits it out of the park by identifying the problem and offering a practical solution! 👏👏🙏🙏
There really are two sides of every coin. When I think of child sacrifice, I think of Planned Parenthood, sacrificing the life your unborn child so that you can continue to live your own selfish life.
But there is a higher form of child sacrifice, as Peterson lays out here, one in which the child not only survives, but is given opportunity to thrive and do something meaningful.
If you listen to a story written or told by a man they will focus around honor, duty, sacrifice. They will be about overcoming insurmountable odds to save your friends, family, or society. Then listen to stories written by women. They are about realizing how great you are by overcoming negatives imposed by others. That all you have to do is believe how great you are and you will become powerful. Mens and womens stories represent how we see society. Men build and women consume.
Call on name the Jesus and you will be healed. Jordan Peterson, He is the only way to restoration. I know you are being Paul right now. You are becoming all things to all people for the sake of the gospel.
If you’re sorting stories (peoples lives experiences) by what you claim is ambulance chasing or victimhood mentality versus resilience or perseverance by some personal or group lens, the slippery slope and survivorship bias implicit in judging their life towards the end is going to not only allow for feigned virtue signalling but also lead to pathological dynamics of false narratives good for the in group and bad for the out group.
I like this. It feels like all the problems and shortcomings I've had in my life don't add up to a loser, but to a person who has a chance to make the most of the world. Maybe even all those problems are a part of my story as a whole rather than my story of destitution.
