If you look on the label it says brewed by Simonds Farsons Cisk. The simonds part of the company was a brewery in the uk, in the town of Reading where we live and there trade mark was the Hop Leaf Hope this info may be useful. Thanks again Steve good video.🍺

Have you tried the beers brewed on premis at the Brew Bar in Sliema. Very nice craft beers. Also next door The Black Sheep do a range of bottled beers from around the world.

So jealous watching this. Double red for me but I’m yet too find it anywhere on draft. The IPA is served on draft in Watson’ in Bugibba. Unfortunately I won’t be able to sample any of them this year but managed to get some Cisk of Amazon.
I enjoyed this `scientific analysis` Steve.........personally I`m not a beer drinker but after watching that I might give it a go , don`t do any cliff walks mind .
Love the beer demo Steve, Im a beer drinker and my favourite is The Hop Leaf though on occasion i've had the Blue Label. Dont know the new ones but will give them a try next time in Malta. When I was stationed at RAF Luqa in 1971, there was a drivers strike on and it was our annual St Valentines Dance, but we were short of beer so we got a 3 ton truck and went up to Farsons Brewery and picked up our beer delivery. Later that evening we were accused of crossing a Picket Line outside the brewery. We never saw any Pickets at all - then it dawned on us, the two guys we saw sitting in the shade against the wall fast asleep were the Pickets. We were the only military place on the island with any beer. Cheers. Great times.
@@terrywalker348 Sorry Terry I dont recall anyone with that name. I was working on No13(PR) Squadron during that time, I arrived in Malta in Jan 1969 and went back to the UK on 23 Dec 1971. I did know a Terry but cant recall his Surname. He would have been attached to RAF Luqa station not a Squadron.

Hi Steve, I don't think you will get a job in the marketing department for Hopleaf when you take a swig and say "when it's hot and you're thirsty you'll drink anything" lol.
Blue label was my favourite for many years, but unfortunately when they decided to make it smooth an creamy making it look like Guinness with an increase in price, for me it lost its character and I had problems in digesting it therefore I returned to drinking Cisk (pity). Wish they would make blue label like they done in the good old days!!!
