I'm just finishing the edit for a really long video called "ASMR Box Tapping". I was going to patch this box onto the end of that video, but I think this one should really be a video in it's own right. I've recorded this little box a couple of times now and I just hope that you can all hear what I hear. To me this is pure ASMR heaven! Looks like we'll be hitting 50k subscribers for Christmas, Troops. Nice! I literally couldn't have come this far without all the support and encouragement from you all. Well I definitely tune into the sounds and they do tend to make me sleepy. It's hard to stay awake to these sounds sometimes but I do enjoy making them ❤🥰

Oh yes, this little box is definitely a good one to tap on. I'm not sure if it's the surface or the hollowness, but it gives a special tone to the taps. very enjoyable!
Yeah, it's maybe my fav. tapping box of them all, which is why I released this on it's own. It's one of 12 boxes that I recorded for my upcoming, "box tapping" video but it was too good to be lost in there with the others. What makes this box sound so good is the fact that the lid is so perfectly fitted and everything is lined with velvet. The loose lid allows these echoey hollows to come through, just by releasing some of the grip pressure. It's such a nice box to tap 🥰❤

I'm curious, what do you do for work? I ask this often to people who work and listen to ASMR at the same time. So far mainly we have accountants and programmers.
@ASMRtroops I'm a benefits consultant for a non-profit, so I work with spreadsheets, government forms, etc. most of the day. A lot of mental work, so yeah that makes perfect sense!
Yeah, this was actually meant to be part of the main "box tapping" video that I'm about to process but it was a really long scene so I just uploaded it on it's own. This was the 12th box I'd recorded that day, so I was fighting the sleep there for sure ❤🥰

I get asked that a lot, but no I never had that honour. Where I come from, "Troops" is something we call our friends. Sort of like "lads" or "guys" ❤🥰 But I like to think we're all ASMR Troops here, in this little channel community.

@@MoistYoghurt Well, some people just see things differently from others. Sometimes it can be VERY differently. With this guy there was no convincing him. He was obsessed and he actually thinks I'm trying to pretend I was a veteran to get views. As if I'm some sort of Tim Waltz character. I found it really insulting so I had to ban him from the channel. As it that would actually get an ASMR channel more views from pretending to be a soldier! The guy was too far gone to see it for what it is - just a memorable name for an ASMR channel with a little community of ASMR Troops 🥰❤ I actually changed my PFP because of him. It really annoyed me.
Thank you for noticing that. It was actually quite tricky to transition the audio between these two tones as they're so different. I almost just deleted the softer tone section but I persevered ❤🥰

It has been a while since I have seen your videos, and they haven't changed much. The video and sound quality are still amazing and has been that way since you only had less than 2k subscribers. However, to be fair, it is hard to improve when the bar is already high early on.
Thank you so much 🙏🏼❤ I did research it for about a full month before starting. I wanted to hit the ground running from the start. There are over 600k ASMR channels on here you see, so I reckoned that I had to bring some game or I'd just get lost in the abyss, immediately. I know there's not much improvement in the quality of the sound or video since I began, but I do feel that my ASMR style is morphing and changing as I progress. I'm definitely learning a lot about technique and I've learned how to be smoother, slower and more controlled with movements and softer sounds. Whispering is fairly new as well 🥰❤ Now that I've hit 50k and also since that's been a full year since I started, I'm planning to change into 2nd gear in 2025 with lots more variety and lots more shorter videos and styles. Wish me luck as my next target for the end of 2025 is 200k subscribers 🙏🏼
Yeah it does sound like pitter patter on car windows, it brings me back to 6 months old in the car on a rainy night being driven around the neighborhood seeing the orange streetlights above. I was too young to know there was more than one streetlight so I would always try to follow it with my eyes and I would drift to sleep in the car.
@@timarigirl32 This comment reminds me of a video I've always wanted to make. In fact is was one of the first ideas I had for an ASMR video but I've never gotten round to is. I too remember when I was a very young child, we used to go long drives at night into the Scottish wilderness (my uncle was a lumberjack and they lived in the deepest forests up north). My mum and dad would be sitting in the front, chattering and it was muffled chatter, muffled by the sound of the car on the road, the rain on the windows and the passing cars. It was so intoxicating as a child and I always fell into the deepest of sleeps. I wish I could recreate those sounds ❤🥰

I get up at 5am to record my ASMR as that's when my house is nice and quiet. I get about 4hrs sleep a night due to sleep apnea. Listening to my box tapping sometimes makes me fall asleep while recording haha 🥰❤️

Well thank you for the compliment on my beard. I find it quite easy to grow, in fact it's effortless. Keeping it tame on the other hand is more of a task 🥰❤ I don't know how old you are or anything but maybe you're still too young to grow a full beard? If it's a serious question you're asking then I can tell you a story about my sons pal. He was trying to grow a beard and it was coming in patchy and I think that's true for a lot of that generation. He decided to get his bloods checked and it turned out he had the testosterone levels of a 60yr old man. Very weird, but apparently it's an epidemic that's sweeping the young. Low T can definitely cause patchy beard growth but it's also something young buys should address as it causes low mood and low energy and a whole host of other things too. Anyway, he's on testosterone therapy now and his beard it full now.

After 10min of listening it started to feel like you are tapping on my upper teeth. Weird feeling, unfortunately not very pleasent anymore. Shame, it felt great before this
@ASMRtroops I'm not sure. I have a feeling like it has to do with where it seems the sound is coming from when you are listening to it. Like it feels it is coming from my front teeth. I don't know how to describe it, english is not my first language. Just that it seems it is originating from inside the head, not the surface or outside. Does this make any sense to you?
@@awy-h2lhaha, yes indeed, a lot of sense. I call it brain penetrating ASMR but for some reason you're feeling it in your teeth. Can I ask what headphones you're using?

That'll be interesting to know if it makes a difference. Thanks for doing this experiment. It’s interesting how different headphones can completely change the way ASMR feels - especially with the spatial positioning of sounds. Sometimes certain frequencies can 'resonate' differently depending on the headphone drivers or how they sit on your head. Resonance could definitely cause sore teeth! I'm definitely curious to hear if switching headphones changes the feeling for you! Let me know how it goes 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
I am always tired in my videos because I either get up at 5am to record, or I record before bed at about 1am. I do that for two reasons. (1) I prefer to record when I'm super tired because that's when I seem to be able to tune in to the audio really well. When I'm fresh I just can't get into it. (2) I have a busy house and that's when my house is nice and quiet. Also, I only get about 4hrs sleep a night due to sleep apnea. Recording these sounds makes me feel really sleepy 🥰❤️
It really is. If the channel was generating an income then it would make me more interested in creating more and more frequently. At the moment, it's just disheartening at best. However, that doesn't mean I'm quitting - no I never did expect miracles. I'm a realist and I realise that it will take time to reach the goals I have for the channel. Long term goals as they say ❤🥰

I found it really insulting so I had to ban him from the channel. As it that would actually get an ASMR channel more views from pretending to be a soldier! The guy was too far gone to see it for what it is - just a memorable name for an ASMR channel with a little community of ASMR Troops 🥰❤

It has been a while since I have seen your videos, and they haven't changed much. The video and sound quality are still amazing and has been that way since you only had less than 2k subscribers. However, to be fair, it is hard to improve when the bar is already high early on.

I did research it for about a full month before starting. I wanted to hit the ground running from the start. There are over 600k ASMR channels on here you see, so I reckoned that I had to bring some game or I'd just get lost in the abyss, immediately. I know there's not much improvement in the quality of the sound or video since I began, but I do feel that my ASMR style is morphing and changing as I progress. I'm definitely learning a lot about technique and I've learned how to be smoother, slower and more controlled with movements and softer sounds. Whispering is fairly new as well 🥰❤
Now that I've hit 50k and also since that's been a full year since I started, I'm planning to change into 2nd gear in 2025 with lots more variety and lots more shorter videos and styles. Wish me luck as my next target for the end of 2025 is 200k subscribers 🙏🏼

Yeah it does sound like pitter patter on car windows, it brings me back to 6 months old in the car on a rainy night being driven around the neighborhood seeing the orange streetlights above. I was too young to know there was more than one streetlight so I would always try to follow it with my eyes and I would drift to sleep in the car.
@@timarigirl32 This comment reminds me of a video I've always wanted to make. In fact is was one of the first ideas I had for an ASMR video but I've never gotten round to is. I too remember when I was a very young child, we used to go long drives at night into the Scottish wilderness (my uncle was a lumberjack and they lived in the deepest forests up north). My mum and dad would be sitting in the front, chattering and it was muffled chatter, muffled by the sound of the car on the road, the rain on the windows and the passing cars. It was so intoxicating as a child and I always fell into the deepest of sleeps. I wish I could recreate those sounds ❤🥰

I get up at 5am to record my ASMR as that's when my house is nice and quiet. I get about 4hrs sleep a night due to sleep apnea. Listening to my box tapping sometimes makes me fall asleep while recording haha 🥰❤️

Well thank you for the compliment on my beard. I find it quite easy to grow, in fact it's effortless. Keeping it tame on the other hand is more of a task 🥰❤ I don't know how old you are or anything but maybe you're still too young to grow a full beard?
If it's a serious question you're asking then I can tell you a story about my sons pal. He was trying to grow a beard and it was coming in patchy and I think that's true for a lot of that generation. He decided to get his bloods checked and it turned out he had the testosterone levels of a 60yr old man. Very weird, but apparently it's an epidemic that's sweeping the young. Low T can definitely cause patchy beard growth but it's also something young buys should address as it causes low mood and low energy and a whole host of other things too. Anyway, he's on testosterone therapy now and his beard it full now.

I guess maybe it's one of those sounds that get grating for you after a while. I get that sometimes too when I'm just feeling anxious and can't relax.
@ASMRtroops I'm not sure. I have a feeling like it has to do with where it seems the sound is coming from when you are listening to it. Like it feels it is coming from my front teeth. I don't know how to describe it, english is not my first language. Just that it seems it is originating from inside the head, not the surface or outside. Does this make any sense to you?

That'll be interesting to know if it makes a difference. Thanks for doing this experiment. It’s interesting how different headphones can completely change the way ASMR feels - especially with the spatial positioning of sounds. Sometimes certain frequencies can 'resonate' differently depending on the headphone drivers or how they sit on your head. Resonance could definitely cause sore teeth! I'm definitely curious to hear if switching headphones changes the feeling for you! Let me know how it goes 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

I am always tired in my videos because I either get up at 5am to record, or I record before bed at about 1am. I do that for two reasons.
(1) I prefer to record when I'm super tired because that's when I seem to be able to tune in to the audio really well. When I'm fresh I just can't get into it.
(2) I have a busy house and that's when my house is nice and quiet.
Also, I only get about 4hrs sleep a night due to sleep apnea. Recording these sounds makes me feel really sleepy 🥰❤️

It really is. If the channel was generating an income then it would make me more interested in creating more and more frequently. At the moment, it's just disheartening at best. However, that doesn't mean I'm quitting - no I never did expect miracles. I'm a realist and I realise that it will take time to reach the goals I have for the channel. Long term goals as they say ❤🥰
Even if your content Isn't generating income, I hope you know that it still has a positive effect on many people
