You can only imagine what it was like back in 1989 or 1990, 5 or 6 years old, and hearing this blast all over the radios in the malls. This is a great song, very nostalgic.
Being a Night Club and Radio Mix Show Dj, also owning a music promotion company back when she was just coming on scene. We Boston Djs knew right away she was special when she released "Tell It To My Heart" It was a huge club smash. It wasn't long before she went world wide with that amazing voice. She even preformed for us @ one of the largest clubs in Boston back in the 80s.....:) She's special... And, a very sweet kind lady...:) I have till this day a framed autographed poster of her. I love taylor!
Yes, a beautiful and powerful voice she definitely has. The video on YT when she sang with her band on this song is also a very well done production both musically and visually.Everytime I hear this song anywhere, I picture the great video that accompanied this great song.
saw her in a video a while back, she was at debbie gibson's house, they were just hanging out and still looking great, debbie got lyme disease, shania twain too, it was really tough on them, or still is, I shania twain's voice got really damaged
Yep, she was incredible on The Masked Singer!!! I've never watched the show on TV but when I saw that there was a clip of her on the show on TH-cam, I had to check it out!!!
Wow. I haven’t heard this in decades! This song was big my first year as a fully self sufficient adult human person that was of legal drinking age. That was a fun year.
Yes yes yes! ❤ First time I heard this song was on the radio as I was driving home from work at the mall, I had to turn around and go back so I could buy the cassette single from Hastings and listen to it a million times. That voice! Another amazing soulful artist is Anita Baker. I'd discovered her around the time this one came out, and if you're not familiar with her, "Sweet Love" was her big breakout hit but "Soul Inspiration" and "No One in the World" are also good places to start.
This song popped into my head yesterday, while walking my dog...lol. And immediately I wondered to myself, if you had reacted to it. And here it is!! Love the song. Love the reaction. Thank you.
Great reaction. You nailed it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you back up during a song! Perfect! I love how you LISTEN to songs so deeply. I still love this - late ‘80’s power ballad - ladies’ style. I’m not sure why but she never got the deserved respect she should have. She came at the same time as Mariah and I honestly thought she’d have the bigger and longer career….. “I’ll Be Your Shelter” is another great listen. Reminds me of Tina Turner/something she would have sung. “I Know the Feeling” is another strong ballad like this one if you’d like another.
I love the fact that you let the song play through and we get to watch your reactions in real time. I will always love you is a great song by Taylor as well. Subbed.
I like your chanel for one reason only... The sentiment and emotions that "Flow" from your beautiful brown eyes hit my heart like a laser beam and stir every emotion ever felt when first hearing each song and although I've heard this or that song a 1000 x's before, sharing it with you makes it Brand New All Over Again... More than your smile it's your eyes that "add" that special feeling each song deserves and makes me think... Are you really just another Romantic Old Fashion Soul Like Us or Do you Tear up because Someone Broke your Heart too..? And then I can't help it by bringing a Tear to mine... Mother used to say: "To Remember is to Live Again"... Wise Woman (RIP, Jan. 2022)
Love how much you felt that. Many reactors exaggerate how much they feel songs, you were visibly trying to restrain and hold down how much you felt it, lol, so good.
Excellent song choice to review. Taylor Dayne has such a unique powerful voice and one of the best I’ve ever heard. She sings this song with so much depth, soul, and grit that it tears my heart apart.
You seem like a truly beautiful soul and I love how you pointed out her confidence in love, their love. Ive been waiting nearly 5 years now for my girl to return to me. I'm not quite as confident as her, after 5 years, but my love for her has never diminished, only grown, and I have no interest in finding anyone else. That has to mean something... I'm 37 years old, ive had other relationships over the years, but she was different. Given your reaction, you reminded me of her passion, empathy and softness that she brought into my life. Apologies for the long story but every so often I listen to this song and watch reactions and yours hit me hard. Not a sadness, the raw passion and belief in love. Its powerful. All the best
I have not heard this song in a long time. I remember being captivated watching the music video on MTV when they use to show music videos. Taylor Dane is a force of nature. She had a role in a movie also…anyone remember that movie?
I totally get why DayOne reacts in such an emotional way to this gorgeous song and the sentiments it evokes. Of course, that’s down to Taylor’s superb singing but also the classic songwriter Diane Warren. The woman could write one of these classics before breakfast for a few years and it’s one of her best. Everything about it is great, verse, houses, middle eight, melodies, key change. Check out more of her writing if you can
Hi Angela, you've just listened to one of my favorite female artists of all time, i'll always love you was my wedding song, loved that reaction by the way. God bless and stay cool and beautiful
You cried , we cried , everyone and everything cried , even the Angels cried. Good Lord , very nice song, beautiful voice , very well interpreted. Thanks
TELL IT TO MY HEART is an easy choice. But her full volume pleads for love is on full display with her hit, SEND MY A LOVER. She also leads you to the dance floor with DON'T RUSH ME. Great voice. And deserves some sir on the channel. Enjoy.
That part where she paused and caught back the beat at 4:18-4:26 that was my favorite part it also tells me that the music was specifically composed for the words of this song there’s no way that she could have done that pause and make it sound so seamless if the music was different.
This is one of my favorite songs!! It's such a beautiful ballad and not a guilty pleasure at all!! She's amazing :) A wonderful review!! A song that has a similar sound to it if you want to check it out is "The One You Love" by Glenn Frey. Sounds very similar and just as beautiful!
Actually Tell It To My Heart is the one that sounds like The One You Love, because it has the exact same hook melody. The same one. So maybe you were thinking of that one.
The combination of her powerful vocals and the subject of the song makes this an unforgettable heartbreaker but with an upside of hope.💔❤🩹❤ It we be forever burned into my memory!
taylor dayne did a song called tell it to my heart and kelly Llorena has covered it and its become a massive dance hit for her and is an anthem on the clubland circuit
I'm glad you like the versatility of Taylor, she also has great pop songs not only ballads, back in the days that there was not autotune but talent. Another artist like her Party Smyth, try Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough.
Beautiful song. So well written and the perfect person and voice to sing it. Would love to see your reaction to Nicolette Larsen's "Lotta love* . The live version with saxophone and flute is fantastic.
One of the great ballads from the 80's. Have u ever heard Cindy Lauper? True Colors or All Through The Night are huge classics, and also very deeps songs, especially de first one.
She is a very underrated singer. So many great songs.
Taylor Dayne = seriously underrated
Agreed 👍
Yes - and that’s too bad.
Facts!!
This song always makes me cry.
She also made me jump off my bar stool and dance for joy too....Tell It To My Heart.
"I'll Be Your Shelter" is another great Taylor Dane song. It's a great inspirational, pick-you up song. It was a big hit back in the day.
good one!
You can only imagine what it was like back in 1989 or 1990, 5 or 6 years old, and hearing this blast all over the radios in the malls. This is a great song, very nostalgic.
I've always loved this song. What a performance from an absolutely towering voice.
Taylor Dayne pulls at the heart strings. She has Oomph !!

This song brings back memories of unrequited crushes I had in junior high😂😂. Beautiful ballad sung by an underrated artist.
Taylor dayne is a great vocalist very underrated ❤👍
Lord I miss beautiful music like this ❤️❤️❤️ great reaction
Adore Taylor Dane and her voice. Just so much allure to it. She is still just a dreamboat!!
saw her in a video a while back, she was at debbie gibson's house, they were just hanging out and still looking great, debbie got lyme disease, shania twain too, it was really tough on them, or still is, I shania twain's voice got really damaged

My goodness she has that smoky flavored sultry sounding voice. Makes you warm inside. 💖
Mitchell ...didn't u know Taylor? Saw her in 96....lol
"Tell it to My Heart" is also a good one. Great reaction.
No shame in loving Taylor's voice. You should watch her rounds in The Masked Singer, fantastic!
Yep, she was incredible on The Masked Singer!!! I've never watched the show on TV but when I saw that there was a clip of her on the show on TH-cam, I had to check it out!!!
@@patrickmurchison9145 that's where I saw her as well.
Wow. I haven’t heard this in decades! This song was big my first year as a fully self sufficient adult human person that was of legal drinking age. That was a fun year.
I was in high school when this song came out and angsty teenaged me BELTED THIS OUT ALL THE TIME. I still love it.
Taylor could turn the reading of the Phone Book into a spectacular event just by singing a note or two!!
Haven't heard this in a while, great song! She's a great artist!
She is awesome and this will always be one of my favorite songs
Yes yes yes! ❤ First time I heard this song was on the radio as I was driving home from work at the mall, I had to turn around and go back so I could buy the cassette single from Hastings and listen to it a million times. That voice!

I did the same thing. Drove straight to the Record Bar and bought the cassette 🤗
i love her! had all of her music!
Another great song by written by Diane Warren...Angela please do Leann Rimes How Do I Live, another Warren composition.
This song popped into my head yesterday, while walking my dog...lol. And immediately I wondered to myself, if you had reacted to it. And here it is!! Love the song. Love the reaction. Thank you.

“I Know the Feeling” is another strong ballad like this one if you’d like another.
She has a voice that just reaches inside you and makes you feel. You know a singer is good when their voice can do that.
I love the fact that you let the song play through and we get to watch your reactions in real time.
I will always love you is a great song by Taylor as well.
Subbed.
Huge #1 song for Taylor Dayne. One of the most powerful female vocalists of all-time.
I saw her in concert a couple of times. She has quite a few great ones. 👍
You're such a beautifully emotional woman. I love watching your reaction videos! You're such a beautiful woman!
You had same reaction I had first hearing this song back in the 80's. I just cryed my eyes out. One of the greatest love songs ever.
I loved this song when it first came out in 1989, I was 26 then.. now at almost 60, it's still one of my favorites.
I like your chanel for one reason only... I remember this song from high school! Great tune!
She has a great voice and she looks great in the video.
Someone set me free when this song was getting so much airplay😪. I think this help me through it all. I remember this one well. She can sing😊
I love the way how you feel the music 🤗 *MAGIC!* 💖
That is one of my favorite songs that I never get tired of listening to it's beautiful.
You need to see the video of this so you can see her emotions when she sing
Goosebumps, right!
Always! I was a college kid when she released this, and over three decades later it still sometimes makes me misty eyed.
I might seem an unlikely fan man of Taylor Dayne, but here I am... she had a special voice of a place in time, that meant a lot to me...
Same
Excellent song choice to review. Taylor Dayne has such a unique powerful voice and one of the best I’ve ever heard. She sings this song with so much depth, soul, and grit that it tears my heart apart.
You have a perfect reaction to this song, and I felt it too, Angela..
Great reaction! Love this song! I remember the first time I heard on the radio when I was kid. Yep, Gen-X. This song never gets old.

Regret makes us feel weak and vulnerable.
Revisiting the regret becomes a matter of perspective.
Great tune!!
Amazing voice
For me one of the best love songs ever .
Bello tema. Cosas del amor. Saludis desde Chile.
Billboard Number ONE HIT!
I'm glad you like the versatility of Taylor, she also has great pop songs not only ballads, back in the days that there was not autotune but talent. Another artist like her Party Smyth, try Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough.
