This isnt a 6v6 or a 5v5 debate but i think tank will never feel good as the lone tank, i think there is a gap between how dps and support are designed and balanced at how tanks are designed and balanced or at least with how the community perceives tanks as, recently i been thinking that there is so much dmg and ability usage in the game that no way can a tank keep up with dmg mitigation and space creation especially with how the newer tanks have very little dmg mitigation compared to some of the OW1 tanks and have virtually no ability mitigation, as a community we need to look at tanks differently or the devs need to design and balance tanks differently or they need to come out and say this is how we see each role playing a part on the team and are gonna balance with that in mind
I get that in the top tiers tanks are finally feeling better but in lower elos, where teamwork, game sense and target priority are basically myths tanks are completely unfun. Imagine having two of them like in OW1. Change the dps passive entirely or adjust it for tanks, i don't care, it's utter BS anyway. The fact that Reaper can do one damage across the map and you get hit with the passive is ridiculous.
I think these tank changes were quality of life, they’ll never fix the real problem. We made the projectile sizes bigger but can’t have a tank passive that makes those projectiles smaller for tanks. Weird. I feel like it has nothing to do with the state of tank, cycle this meta cycle that meta it doesn’t matter. The psychology of having one tank isn’t going to work unless A. Hitbox manipulation Or B. Tanks are literally the least impactful on the team and counter picking them is counter intuitive. You want tank to be in a spot where if they have a genji and they have a wrecking ball players might run Zarya. Or a healthy mix of countering the two, Rein. If you see Ball and it’s “gotta go Hog.” The reason two tanks worked better for tank is because your focus isn’t on one player, overwatch is still a team game and they can make tanks less focusable. Still, imagine if they took away one support after the heal creep crisis then called it overwatch 3. Suddenly you lose your support duos, and supports are very easy to focus now. Or imagine if instead of a tank they committed to the whole queue times thing and took out a support. Two tanks one support? Good luck Ana with no Brig. Good luck Lucio with low heals. Seeing a Lucio is gonna feel like seeing a Ball or a Doom. Even he’d have his own metas like godfist did, doesn’t mean the playerbase will stop hating them. That’s why I don’t like when people say “if your tank leaves you lose, if a DPS leaves you’re fine, support fine.” Imagine if they took out a support and your only source of healing left. Good luck. The tank is the only tanking player of course you’d feel shit if they left. So how do you fix this? In a game like Overwatch for supports it’d just look like self sustain creep. That was the support role doesn’t really feel that unique. Unfortunately the only way to fix tank IS to break it, if every role can create space & hold a frontline for a period of time, tank fixed. Or, you just make tanks impossible to counter.

That type of toxicity wouldn't be any different from someone complaining about my healing or damage numbers. Ow2 isn't any less toxic because of it
QP has a metric ton of hackers lately especially in bronze/silver ranks. Of course the constant incredibly lopsided matchmaking seesaw is not helping either.

I watch kill cams, but before a report, I check that. 75% of the time I thought someone was cheating in QP and then hit P to find out its aim assist. (Despite it not being a cheater, I'm glad I notice the difference in aim/tracking.)
