I am german, I have noticed that when I open a new chat / voice call with it and "initialise" it speaking german, the accent is a perfect german accent. When, on the other hand, I start the conversation in english and then ask it to switch to german, it always sounds like an American who is fluent but with a strong american accent. Guess that it might be like this with the other languages

Sadly, it sounded just like the current voice model - Swedish language with a strong American accent.
Yeah apparently it's like this in many/most languages, unfortunately.
Note that this is a type of super intelligence in the domain of linguistics. I posted a very comprehensive video on my channel earlier about AI, AGI and ASI. Many of the elements of super intelligence are already here in frontier models like this. At this rate, I Definitely see AGI appearing before 2030 at the latest

Egyptian arabic, feels like an english native speaker trying to speak it.

His Arabic accent is like a foreigner speaking Arabic or Egyptian.
That Swedish dialect is what is sounds like when an English native speaker learns Swedish :) Kinda fun they trained on that :D
It's probably that way for a lot of the languages. Danish sounds American, with random phrases mixed in that sound super accurate. Really struggles with numbers though.
Notably also, the current version's Danish can spontaneously exhibit a (heavy) Swedish accent, on top of the American one. It's like it was trained on some general scandinavian dataset, semi-randomly mixing up pronounciation. It does seem like this tendency has been minimized in the new voice mode (so it's only the famous heavy U.S. accent now. xD)
@@AndreasTardinghehe, I have noticed that sometimes if I talk to it in Danish and we discuss Norway, it temporarily switches to Norwegian pronunciation for that part 😅
thx for testing it in Arabic ♥️😂 + It seems that it is not as strong as the previous version in the Egyptian dialect.He speaks classical Arabic. The old version speaks the Egyptian dialect, and you will find that about 80% of what he says is correct
It has a super strong accent, but it’s intelligible at least
@@meow_meow_J I am Egyptian and I use the old version of ChatGPT and I can assure you that it speaks the Egyptian dialect 40% better But this is in terms of pronunciation, manner of speaking, joking, etc. The new version is 200% better.😂

why would it speak ancient greek.. it would just use a modern greek accent or sound american. completely misses the point.

Urdu is closest to Hindi. But the accent was way off. It was like a foreigner trying to speak Urdu.

There's a limit for an individual response, but you can ask it to keep going on the same topic and in essence have it write limitless. It tends to deviate from the original topic after a while though.
egyptian arabic is spoken with english phonetics its basically an english voice trying to speak arabic so some sounds are wrong or missing

I don't think Himel's Tech has the camera (vision feature). Only some testers have it randomly.

very bad dialect in Turkish.. and i know it is very bad at all languages.. that's why they didnt release it broadly around the world.. regular mode is good on any language but not humanlike
