I noticed that too. Hmm. Wonder which came first? Cody is from Utah, SLC area, not Redding CA. Maybe he listens and the musical phrases just stuck? Maybe we are running out of unique musical phrasing? Good catch. ✝️
the choruses are completely different. although in the verses they seem to have similar chords, they do differ. they are similar songs, yes. it would be neat to know if The McClures influence Cody's musical preferences, though. They likely came first :)
