So, when flying over to Etho, he falls down a short drop hole to get there, like he's done 100 times, and splats because he's got no boots or a totem. I really appreciate you asking about what order your cards go in. There was practically a whole dev stream dedicated to working on the shuffler to make sure that it didn't matter, and it just goes to show it was well spent because you would have absolutely started playing the meta.
6:40 "Clank is based on distance you cover, and hazard is based on time" - Clank is also based on time, a little bit. Every 2 minutes (1st one is 1 minute in) a Stumble card (+2 Clank) is shuffled into your deck. Additionally, Treasure is a measure of how quickly you can "delve" into the dungeon, as the Keys needed to go deeper are a type of treasure.
@@P10ter_25 It's described in the tutorial room. If you look on Tango's 2nd channel TangoTek2, the episode titled "Decked Out Final Week Prep! Mega Stream!", 31 minutes in, he reads the book that describes stumble. @@AnotherDuck Tango can barely survive outside of the dungeon. (The classic irony of Tango dying immediately after Etho escapes the dungeon was serendipitous. It was as if the Dungeon is sentient and enraged at being thwarted for the very first time and decided to punish the so-called “Dungeon Master” instead as the Dungeon Master chomps on hermits to sustain itself and it was hangry as hell.)
So glad you included some of the waiting room shenanigans! Tango was bummed that he couldn't hear what everyone else was doing up top and it's so fun to see those bits, too.
Unfortunately, Etho doesn't have a 2nd channel. TH-cam''s video recommendations algorithm heavily penalizes a channel if they upload a video that gets much fewer views than is typical for said channel, like uploading large uncut videos such as a stream replay. 2nd channels help a bit with this issue by isolating viewers, viewers who watch the main videos are subscribed and consistently watch the main channel videos, and viewers who watch these long form vides are subscribed and consistently watch the 2nd channel videos. Knowing Etho, he won't make a 2nd channel, and once the hype has died down, his runs will probably a cut of 10-15 minutes in the middle of his episodes. Since he relies on his channel for a lot of his income, he can't be messing around and self sabotaging it by uploading videos that drag his channel down. That said, he frequently disregards what's generally regarded as ways to look good in the TH-cam algorithm (Thumbnails, consistent schedule, telling people to like & subscribe, uploading shorts, etc), so he very well be uploading long form Decked Out 2 runs.
Watch Tango's 2nd channel! He's been doing livestreams watching the hermits play Decked Out and you can see it from his perspective as they go through the dungeon uncut. Super fun, probs won't do it forever but for now each of Etho's runs are in those videos, unedited!
I’m absolutely thrilled you avoided spoilers, I can’t wait to watch every run you publish. Don’t think anyone will get tired of this kind of content, the views on your really long episode of decked out one runs illustrates this well.
Ok, I haven't watched Hermitcraft for about.. the entire season I think? And I am absolutely stunned and amazed on the creation as well as gameplay of this thing.
@@SamuBrownYT plus theyre still running small simple decks currently. just wait until they start buying up the rare and legendary cards and the hermits _really_ start deck building and talking strategy
You can truly tell Etho is a legend by earning it rightfully so! Now many people have the gift and skill along with exceptional perception of the hidden secrets that open up as well as the hide and seek game with the ravengers. He will be a force to be reckoned with this season of DO2!
Hi Etho! I'm in my first week of university and I just want to say thank you for being there all these years. I've been a viewer for literally as long as I can remember, having been introduced to your channel by my older brother when we used to watch your videos together. It seems odd to say, but you've been moreso a role model to me than anyone else has been. You're an amazing person and I hope you know just how much you've helped so many people. Thank you!! -C
Tango did such a great job with deck out 2! Definitely a more than worthy sequel. The game's complexity seems amazing. Just from seeing the basic cards, there seems to be an important breakpoint where you need at least +1 ember drops to go from 6(lowest artifact) to 7(lowest permanent card) so I think etho made a wise choice. I would guess that unless tango plans on increasing treasure drop rate(he mentioned he might on stream today), treasure should be prioritized (after getting 1 ember card) so that one can sustainably run the dungeon. I think keys cost 32 coins(8 crowns) too... Treasure also has the added key drop rate benefit, and I honestly don't think level 2 is that much harder than level 1 in terms of difficulty compared to just how much better the rewards are. The main difficulty with level 2 is the access of keys, which treasure would also give. A successful level 2 run is easily worth 3 lvl 1 runs (the artifact is 2-3x more, and the treasure quality is better). To put it in perspective, 2-3 successful level two runs would give more rewards than all the hermit's day 1 runs combined. And it gets even better when you realize that a rare high ember raid is better than multiple low ember raids due to how the shop works. Also, im curious if decked out 2 will be like 1 where it had easter eggs/hidden opportunities that give huge advantages to whoever finds them first since this was something etho heavily benefitted from in the first game. I tried to keep the spoilers to a minimum and only used things etho knows and things tango has explained to him :/
The mastermind of game strategy has returned! I've got my snacks ready, can't wait for Etho to meticulously strategize every minutia of Decked Out and blow our minds once again.
I'm extremely hyped for Decked Out 2 content I watched the entire 8 hour grand opening stream start to finish yesterday and the 6 hours today and could've kept going because I was having so much fun. The funny thing is Tango kept telling chat in streams to go easy on Etho because he probably wouldn't know what he was doing, then right away he comes in and just dominates 😆 I don't understand how Etho is just so amazing at every and any game he plays.
I would gleefully watch several hours of pure DO2 gameplay from Etho. PLEASE upload lots of gameplay lol We can only experience this game vicariously through you!
Ends the video with sorry to convey his apologies for the brief hermitcraft video drought. Has the perfect first run for never seeing the game before. Comes up with great things to say in the Q. Great work Etho!
If Etho had even half as much fun playing as I had watching him play, I'm very happy about it, because it (hopefully) means we'll get a lot of content from the DO2 :)
It was so much fun watching you from tangos perspective, of course we’re still gonna watch this as well!!! Hopefully we get to see lots of runs (convince him to give more keys per phase)
5:48 is a little ambiguous, you do get more loot with higher difficulties, he has confirmed that the deeper you go, the better the loot pool for treasure droppers. I.e. higher chances of crowns dropping instead of coins. I didn't want to spoil it, but in this case it felt like more of an elaboration on something tango was ok with revealing anyways.
Funny how seemingly almost everybody makes giant builds, tango dedicates an entire year to making this absolutely insane contraption god knows how big. And they all just seem in awe and respect of Etho whom is so humble and just himself with his content. And then he just absolutely nails the first round.
Etho PLEASE let us see all the decked out runs, even if they don’t have commentary. I would enjoy watching literally all of them. Watching the looting and what lead to the deck progression for me is even more important than seeing the deck progress itself.
I was so so happy you were the first Hermit to get an Artifact! That felt right! Something awesome to commemorate you being the first DO champion! It was funny Tango died! I clipped that for him from the stream. Also by now I hope you got to watch his pov on your runs. We were all shocked and scratching our heads of your misfortune on your first run! 2 or 3 hazard doors closed at the beginning! What! The vex coming out early! That didn’t stop you at all! I look forward to seeing more of your runs. Hope you are having fun. Thank you. Btw the waiting room antics and mini games were hilarious!

Etho! Make sure to turn in at LEAST 1 Victory Tome each week. You need at least 1 tome submitted in order to be "in the standings" for the week. The players at the bottom of the standings (ie not top handful) will get BONUS Frozen Shards as a way to catch up to the leaders.
33:05 Pause it here and see the Frost Embers and Gold Coins Etho overlooked. Love to watch you to this very day. You are one of the reasons i started making videos myself. PS: Don't Get Distracted By Buttons
I was skeptical about all the customizations Tango did in DO2, especially because everything could have been done 100% vanilla. it was cool and interesting in DO1 what you can do in pure minecraft having the idea and knowledge. But watching Etho's runs I had amazing time and I wasn't bothered by all the custom sounds or textures at all. the emotions are amazing, I can't wait for more videos from the game. Great runs Etho! :)
I have been so excited to see Decked Out 2 opened. I've been trying to keep up with Tango's redstone and it's just mind boggling. So cool to finally see the Hermits playing the game!
Tango took explicit care to ensure Etho could not cheese the dungeon. It was his and his chat’s constant mantra during the months and months of livestreams. He didn’t want to blue shell the top players but he didn’t want them to be able to run away with the game. That said, yes, I am looking forward to Etho uncovering all possible mistakes Tango made in not Etho-proofing this or that. ;)
@@miniciominiciominiciogiven when decked out opened up tango already had to deal with multiple stuck ravagers. So i am sure etho might still find a thing or two tango didnt patch up properly.
7:50 (and later at 28:23) Something everyone seems to be doing is going through this spikey water. There is a hazard door that is currently closed (passageway that closes with hazard) to the right of the water that goes to the same place.
What a wonderful thing Minecraft has become. Back in the day something like Cake Wars or whatever that minigame Sethbling made was it. That was the apex of Minecraft meta-gaming. And now look how far we've come! What more amazing art will people make in another ten years?! What a special thing.
According to Tango, you should always submit at least 1 victory tome each week, as it will be converted into bonus frozen shards when the week ends (even if you don’t get points). Also, you can save up your victory tomes between weeks and submit them whenever you want.
Would love to see 'all' of your dungeon runs, uncut, together with your thought process behind which cards you take along into the dungeon. Decked Out is amazingly fun to watch, and if you're afraid that it might be too long for a normal HermitCraft episode.. you can always turn it into bonus episodes? Point being... me and most likely many others would love to see your full experience of Tango's amazing game. ^w^ Good luck on your dungeon delving adventures Etho!
I think what most people aren't realizing when commenting how funny it is that Tango really wants to play the waiting room game -- he's delighted to get to play a game that he didn't design, and rest for about five minutes lmao
Watching you and the other hermits run the dungeon and your reactions has made every part of Tango's effort worth it. Love seeing how you approach it and can't wait to see you delve deeper.
I purposely avoided watching Tango build Decked Out 2 because I wanted the entire experience to be blind. Now that it's out and everyone is playing it I'm gonna have to go binge all of the building episodes now.
your runs were fantastic! wonderful job, Etho. you had hiccups from the dungeon and still managed to pull out two wins so early on! I can't wait for you to see the rest of the dungeon, and the artifacts! be sure to read them, because there's a lot of love and care in the artifacts alone. Tango's worked so hard for over a year, and it shows. thank you so much for your enthusiasm and excitement, and I can't WAIT to see more Decked Out 2 content!!
It was so great getting to see this from both your and tangos perspective, especially with how close those vexes came to getting you the first time. I can't wait to see more decked out runs from you! Good luck with your winter preparations Etho
Everyone has different playstyles, and part of Decked Out 2 is building a deck to compliment your playstyle. Right now, everyone is just purchasing common cards (5), and Coin Shop cards (3), leaving little variation in their decks. Once we get out to Phase 3 to 4 (in late Phase 1 and Phase 2 we will probably start to see purchase of non-common cards, but they won't be done strategically, they will be done because that'll be the cheapest card they can afford), we will start to see a divergence in card choice, as each Hermit goes a different path, and I'm very excited to see where Etho goes. Knowing Etho, and after watching all his runs (as of right now, from Tango's perspective on Tango's streams), Etho will go for a very greedy deck. In DO1, he filled his deck with offensive cards that provided coins and soul flames, ignored defensive cards, instead relying on map knowledge and skill to dodge vex and ravagers, and practically ignored max clank. DO2 is so much larger that it makes its predecessor look like a proof of concept. I don't think, even Etho, will be able to ignore Clank and Hazard, like he ignored clank in DO1, his playstyle is very loud, he's usually escaping the dungeon at, or almost at, Max Clank. As such he may be forced to take a more defensive deck to offset his offensive playstyle. All in all, I'm looking forward to everyone's Decked Out 2 runs. There is an insane amount of competition to become the champion, so I wouldn't be surprised if Etho doesn't make it to the top 3, however, I do particularly look forward to watching him. Good luck, and have fun to all you Hermits... you'll need it.
The way you explain things is incredibly therapeutic to me. Between your voice and your cadence it just feels like your a dad explaining something to their child. If I ever have to make a recorded explanation of something I'm hiring you to do it, no matter the cost.

I love Hermitcraft, I love this channel, I love everything about this I have absolutely no idea what's going on in that standup room but I love it. Yet another day I envy Hermitcraft friendships
First of all, great job Tango! I've been watching Tango's streams and VODs for the past year, and Etho's name always comes up. Etho, you might not realize it, but you did an AMAZING two first runs, and were a Decked Out Matador. In your first run, you got so unlucky with early hazard doors, that Tango thought that the game was broken. But you went on to not only lead the Ravagers like a pro with experience, not someone's first run (probably D.O.1 muscle memory), but also be the first person to win a game of Decked Out, and one of the few people to do it on their first runs.
Etho, I want you to know, that you can make those Decked Out episodes 3 hours long and everyone will be happy!
Or even post extra bonus decked out content as an unlisted video, we'll do anything to see more runs...!

Decked out content is so good. I would watch completely unedited footage of runs, win or lose. It's so addictive.
We've been watching Tango's streams and then if the runner is playing live, we swap to their stream for their POV.
I love ethos voice it's so calming
Especially at 20:26
6:40 "Clank is based on distance you cover, and hazard is based on time" - Clank is also based on time, a little bit. Every 2 minutes (1st one is 1 minute in) a Stumble card (+2 Clank) is shuffled into your deck. Additionally, Treasure is a measure of how quickly you can "delve" into the dungeon, as the Keys needed to go deeper are a type of treasure.
Thank you. I've been trying to find out what is the stumble card for a little while now. Do you remember in which episode Tango describes it?
@@P10ter_25 It's described in the tutorial room. If you look on Tango's 2nd channel TangoTek2, the episode titled "Decked Out Final Week Prep! Mega Stream!", 31 minutes in, he reads the book that describes stumble. (As for how I know the 1st one is shuffled in at the 1 minute mark, that's knowledge from his streams/VODs, I'm not sure which stream though.)
@@P10ter_25possibly only described in tangos streams. They are definitely worth watching and contain many test-runs of the dungeon
@@P10ter_25 He mentions it in most of his streams (VODs are on his 2nd channel), I can't remember if/when he's shown it on the main channel. IIRC it's actually just +1 clank during these first few runs, he meant to change it to +2 but forgot/ran out of time before the opening day, but he's probably already updated it by now.
Here we go again, Etho about to memorize the whole map
I give it two weeks until Etho knows the dungeon better than Tango himself
@@fdagpigjAnd he's already better at surviving it.
DungeonGuessr champion soon
@@AnotherDuck didn't have to wait for Etho's runs to know that if you've seen any of Tango's test runs
So glad you included some of the waiting room shenanigans! Tango was bummed that he couldn't hear what everyone else was doing up top and it's so fun to see those bits, too.
Etho please upload every Decked Out run in full. I will watch every single one!
I cant wait for tons of Decked Out episodes, it was one of my favorite minigames to watch in the older season. It helped the Etho was so good at it.
The legendary master of Decked Out is back...
what's the 1488 in your name referring to bud
Yo Jet Lag, haven't seen you around in a while. How's life?
I’m absolutely thrilled you avoided spoilers, I can’t wait to watch every run you publish. Don’t think anyone will get tired of this kind of content, the views on your really long episode of decked out one runs illustrates this well.
Ok, I haven't watched Hermitcraft for about.. the entire season I think? And I am absolutely stunned and amazed on the creation as well as gameplay of this thing.
❤
Tango’s brilliant and a very hard worker 💛 man’s been working nonstop for the last 13 months and it’s been so so worth it
And this is just level 1. There are 4 levels
@@SamuBrownYT plus theyre still running small simple decks currently. just wait until they start buying up the rare and legendary cards and the hermits _really_ start deck building and talking strategy
Well it took about 13 months to create
Thank you!!

Hi
Etho is the only person in the world who can wear this Kakashi skin.
Rewatching this after following through all 9 phases is just awesome. Etho made a strong start, and still he evolved tremendously over the weeks!
Etho would be the first one to make it out alive, even with vexes on his tail. I've been waiting for this video to come up.
Tango has done an incredible amount of work, and it freaking shows.
dude those decked out 1 runs are a classic to rewatch glad eveyrone in the server is excited again for this upgraded version. so sick etho
I'm extremely hyped for Decked Out 2 content I watched the entire 8 hour grand opening stream start to finish yesterday and the 6 hours today and could've kept going because I was having so much fun.
The funny thing is Tango kept telling chat in streams to go easy on Etho because he probably wouldn't know what he was doing, then right away he comes in and just dominates 😆
I don't understand how Etho is just so amazing at every and any game he plays.
I would gleefully watch several hours of pure DO2 gameplay from Etho. PLEASE upload lots of gameplay lol
We can only experience this game vicariously through you!
The plea for uncut Decked Out is real and I'm here to add to it! So much fun to watch
It was so much fun watching you from tangos perspective, of course we’re still gonna watch this as well!!! Hopefully we get to see lots of runs (convince him to give more keys per phase)
Vouch!!
Tango being excited to join their waiting room game is soooo adorable.
Hi Etho! We’re super excited to see you get into decked out, please don’t fear releasing more episodes of it, we won’t get bored any time soon!
Etho trending at 25, it's what he deserves ☺ we've missed you
And this is why I've been waiting to watch Tango's stream. Wanted to go into this spoiler free
Etho is like that cool cousin that everyone loves. Always glad to see when you post.
All the hermits are just looking at Etho at 4:40 they are in awe
Funny how seemingly almost everybody makes giant builds, tango dedicates an entire year to making this absolutely insane contraption god knows how big.
And they all just seem in awe and respect of Etho whom is so humble and just himself with his content.
And then he just absolutely nails the first round.
I think it's cute gem loves etho I hear it in the sound of her voice as a sister talking to her big brother everytime.
Let the addiction to Decked Out commence.
Ethos channel is turning 15 in 3 days and 30 Minutes!
(I have been watching for 8 of those years)
Tango did such a great job with Decked Out 2!
Etho PLEASE let us see all the decked out runs, even if they don’t have commentary. I would enjoy watching literally all of them. Watching the looting and what lead to the deck progression for me is even more important than seeing the deck progress itself.
Oh my goodness. I am so excited to see you play decked out again!!! It was so fun last season 😃
What if I told you that was 2 seasons ago...
How does time work?
Speedwagon pfp lol
@caegray6987 they couldn't have meant the last season of decked out, could they have?
That wouldn't make any sense /jk
Oh man i don't know for how long i can keep this grin of joy on my face, it's starting to hurt !
First Iskall, then Grian, then Etho playing Decked out 2 ? I'm so happy !
Thank you guys and BIG thanks to Tango for his incredible dedication & work to make this awesome game for us and the hermits to enjoy.
What a wonderful day !
Seriously the game is mind-blowingly good, Decked Out 1 was great, and this is like 10 times better, can't wait for more, especially from Decked Out 1 champ Etho :)
Have a great day everyone !
Etho!
Make sure to turn in at LEAST 1 Victory Tome each week. You need at least 1 tome submitted in order to be "in the standings" for the week. The players at the bottom of the standings (ie not top handful) will get BONUS Frozen Shards as a way to catch up to the leaders.
i just knew that we’d get a new hermitcraft vid when decked out released, he just can’t resist
Everybody I saw cut the "That's what she said" from Scar. I'm glad I watched this XD
15:30 What a absolute champ! First run and Etho already wrangled the Dungeon!
Etho, we NEED to see every single decked out run and especially all the strategizing around deck building and card choices ❤
THE KING HAS RETURNED! You have no idea how stressed and excited I was when I watched your first run and the first EVER WIN of Decked Out 2!
Difficulty scale:
Easy
Medium
Hard
Insane

Etho
I have been so excited to see Decked Out 2 opened. I've been trying to keep up with Tango's redstone and it's just mind boggling. So cool to finally see the Hermits playing the game!
What a treat! Tango is a legend for providing this game. Thanks for a fun episode Etho! Your enthusiasm is infectious.
And so it begins. I can’t wait to see how Etho manages to cheese this new iteration of Decked Out.
We all love etho. Etho isn't washed up. He never was. Still the king. the best. The GOAT (I mean, maybe that role is taken on hermitcraft but still)
So excited for this, decked out 2 looks so brilliant omg,
Well done tango for building it as well
7:50 (and later at 28:23) Something everyone seems to be doing is going through this spikey water. There is a hazard door that is currently closed (passageway that closes with hazard) to the right of the water that goes to the same place.
I remember the last time he played decked out it took over the entire season. Cant wait for it to happen again!
What a wonderful thing Minecraft has become. Back in the day something like Cake Wars or whatever that minigame Sethbling made was it. That was the apex of Minecraft meta-gaming. And now look how far we've come! What more amazing art will people make in another ten years?! What a special thing.
Your runs are the ones I'm most excited for. So thrilled to see you back on the server and playing Decked Out 2! Hope you have a blast!!!
According to Tango, you should always submit at least 1 victory tome each week, as it will be converted into bonus frozen shards when the week ends (even if you don’t get points). Also, you can save up your victory tomes between weeks and submit them whenever you want.
Can't believe Tango died and you survived lol. The stream was awesome
Good luck on your dungeon delving adventures Etho!
Love it! More full-length Decked Out 2 runs, please 😄
I think what most people aren't realizing when commenting how funny it is that Tango really wants to play the waiting room game -- he's delighted to get to play a game that he didn't design, and rest for about five minutes lmao
So awesome to see this! Have been really excited to see your content on decked out! Hope you’re taking care :)
The most hyped moment of the Season! Not JUST Decked Out opening, but Etho playing it!
Let's goooooooo!!! Can't wait for more Decked Out content! Perfect in game audio balance by the way.
I think hostile mobs sounded a bit quiet, it was hard to hear them sometimes
I have been checking every single day since Decked Out 2 was release, if Etho uploaded his first playthrough yet! Here it is!!
The way you explain things is incredibly therapeutic to me. Between your voice and your cadence it just feels like your a dad explaining something to their child. If I ever have to make a recorded explanation of something I'm hiring you to do it, no matter the cost.
Not only do I have my snacks and drinks ready, but I have Ethos's newest video ready aswell! Thank you Etho, it's always a brighter day with your videos
Words cannot express how excited I am to see more Etho playing Decked Out. As soon as I saw this video pop up I was like omg I need to go watch Tango's backlog! And now I've finished and seeing Etho's next upload is OVER AN HOUR LONG brings me so much joy. I love Hermitcraft, I love this channel, I love everything about this
I have absolutely no idea what's going on in that standup room but I love it. Yet another day I envy Hermitcraft friendships
Would love to see more Decked Out runs and deck management/shopping.
I’ve been so excited to see all of the hermits play decked out!!!!
I'm glad that Etho put the footage from the Waiting Room, because I was very interested what was going on in there
