OK, this is my first day out and I have several hours into this. I have upgraded to the Selfy at this point and worked out the king crab adventure with little problem. BUT.... You mentioned that this boat can do line fishing and net fishing. I cannot for the life of me find where you buy lines and bait them for this boat. And the net fishing is a mystery with this boat, too... Can you help me out?
I believe you have to go into port - go into the ship upgrade section and select line fishing or net fishing to be mounted on the boat. It will remove the crab tackle and install the crane needed for lines and nets. You can only do one type at a time - hope that makes sense. Once you have installed the line or net gear, you must go into town and buy some lines or nets. I think net fishing is a bit easier, but its more random as you don't use bait. With line fishing you can target certain breeds with certain bait types

Well, had a good laugh. I mean you told us to look at the fuel consumption and to make sure to not run out of fuel. But i guess you wouldn't be yourself if you would follow your own advise, right? xD
This boat is hot garbage. It is all but impossible to maneuver once it starts getting full. Selfie crushes it (I understand it was DLC). What does it matter to carry so much line if the fish that come off them make the boat so slow and hard to handle? Awful boat. Even with the full engine upgrade this thing just crawls along and is SOOOO slow to get moving. (Willing to concede that I was doing it wrong, though. Tobie was my 2nd boat ever)
I'm doing a no loans run and made the mistake of buying it as my second boat after the Borge (which is now stuck in port with an almost full quota on everything after being used to save money for the Toby). Its useless. Doesn't turn after only half a hold of fish, no good to use as a scouting boat to hunt new fishing grounds due to the massive fuel consumption and I'm stuck with it for another 200k or so which has to be made scrounging at fishing spots I've already heavily fished due to the limited range and randomly generated spawn points not being on my side. I've basically resorted to positioning the useless loaf as close as possible to my lines with map markers and fast travel (it turns fine in the map) then slowly and painfully crawling the last few 100m to the buoy manually whilst hoping a rogue shrimp doesn't ram into me and send me veering off into Moscow or Ottowa.

It is better to collect all the fish then gut them all at once in the harbor. There is less rocking in the harbor making your gutting turn out better.

that's actually not that bad - remember that 10,000 Krone is about 500 bucks so its not bad for a boat that big. That said, Tobie is not a great boat
