I really don't know why music, true music and art of instruments like that doesn't have many views, I'm Salvadoran, and I really love all about this kind of music, there are many bands like the drums, DIIV and more that when I listen I feel me so comfortable, so inspired and I thing that it is the purpose of true music, I find stupid to people that love kind of music like reggaeton, music that have bad lyrics, bad sounds and of course a bad voice of the singer...
I saw you With a very lose grip on your tight ship And I left you With a very big mess then I watched it progress Took a little time for your trip But i saw you starting to slip And you always kept your eyes on Any little hiding spot that you had forgot And I saw you after a decent spell in a private hell And I told you I hope I live a thousand lives hope I live them well Fought my mind to keep my life But my body's putting up a tougher fight Yeah if it feels wrong you can go on along But once it feels right then you just lost the fight I saw you With a very lose grip on your tight ship And I lost you When you said one hit couldn't hurt a bit Took a little time for your trip But I saw you starting to slip 'Cuz you always kept your eyes on Any little hiding spot that you had forgot And I can't shake The terror of my life fleeting, minute by minute Even when I can't imagine another day waking up in it Fought my mind to keep my life But my body's putting up a tougher fight Yeah if it feels wrong you can go on along But once it feels right then you just lost the fight
This song is sooo dope! It's one thing to listen to the lyrics and enjoy it... but when you live the lyrics and listen, it gives you chills down your spine during the whole song!!? 😌
Looking forward to the new album. Found this band oddly enough while listening to the Indie Music Choice channel on Comcast. And I also found out one of the band members was also in Beach Fossils.
SIMPLY FABULOUS! I'm going to watch them live next month! It's amazing how beautiful this song is, it's pretty sad after all, we all know about Cole's problems. But since Nirvana a band does not mess with my life as much as it does with DIIV. For me, it's the generation's band, the most fucking, the lyrics are absurdly shocking for those who understand them, for those who live in this world of shoegaze, who live shoegaze every day. DIIV, I love you!
+Devon St. Jules absolutely, in a interview Cole said that the song is about "our struggles along the path to clarity, sanity, and sobriety," definitely my favorite on this album even though it brings me some bad memories....
I burst in tears when I first heard it...Spontaneously...Funny how music of DIIV impacts me...
Bro what
Such a great song. No worries mate, good music moves good people.

Fucking incredible. So much emotion and feeling in their music.

this song is always a great experience
After 3:18 the song transforms into another shape which is simply too amazing and catchy. Them grooves!
That part!!!
Absolutely amazing. Some of the catchiest, dreamiest, so gaze-like riff I've ever heard. On repeat.
I saw you
With a very lose grip on your tight ship
And I left you
With a very big mess then I watched it progress
Took a little time for your trip
But i saw you starting to slip
And you always kept your eyes on
Any little hiding spot that you had forgot
And I saw you after a decent spell in a private hell
And I told you I hope I live a thousand lives hope I live them well Fought my mind to keep my life
But my body's putting up a tougher fight
Yeah if it feels wrong you can go on along
But once it feels right then you just lost the fight
I saw you
With a very lose grip on your tight ship
And I lost you
When you said one hit couldn't hurt a bit
Took a little time for your trip
But I saw you starting to slip
'Cuz you always kept your eyes on
Any little hiding spot that you had forgot
And I can't shake The terror of my life fleeting, minute by minute
Even when I can't imagine another day waking up in it
Fought my mind to keep my life
But my body's putting up a tougher fight
Yeah if it feels wrong you can go on along
But once it feels right then you just lost the fight
