To all those people thinking "why's some guy dancing like an idiot all over nitt?". Admit it, it made you watch the entire video. Great work. But I found it really hilarious.
Excellent work boys. I'm from the 1986-90 ECE batch, when it was called REC and I still fondly address it as REC. I was a resident of Ruby hostel and could see the visuals of Ruby in this video often which is nice. I could see Dr. Rahgavan at 1:59 - one of my favorite teachers who taught us Microwave. We've roamed around the Barn, AD blk, Library and other departments for many days and Night. One can never forget AGATE. Wonderful video - thanks guys. Please upload more. 5 mins is not enough
It is when senior alumni like you relate to this video, that we, the makers, feel proudest! It means a lot to us. Though I feel a lot more yet thanks is all I have. Thanks!
Hi, I attended the RECT / NIT Alumni unction (RECAL) last weekend in Bangalore. This video was shown and I got addicted immediately and requested the organisers to play it a few more times. Once I returned home, I googled and found this Video on TH-cam and watched more than 10 tims that night ! This is simply awesome !Excellent work ! Though I graduated long back from RECT (now NITT), watching this Video brought back fond memories and made me feel extremely nostalgic - Great dancing too :-)
Very good video. Couldn't recognize any building except the names after 39 years. The campus looks very different after almost 4 decades. At least now it looks like it is in the middle of civilization unlike when we were there when it was in the middle of now where. Good Job! K. Kumar.(1974)
I was amongst the pioneer batches at then REC Trichy and graduated in 1972, when it was a 5-yr integrated degree course. thank you guys for reviving great memories - of course, a lot has changed, but it still brought a lump in my throat!! great work.
Hey!! I joined EEE here in NITT this year. Excellent Idea!! It was weird at the same time funny to watch Dr. Gururaj and Dr. Bakthavalsalam dance. Over that how on earth did you manage to record your move with Dr. Raghavan?!?!? He's famous for phone snatching and picking on people for non formal clothes! I couldn't believe my eyes to see Dr. Raghavan smile and watch you dance! Great work bro!
This is the place where I have meet with lovely and intelligent people...Nitt is my love...I learned a lot from here... people are growing with knowledge and enjoyment.
Nice Video. Brings back fond memories, though there are so many new buildings now (I am from 78-83 group). We had fewer buildings and hostels then. The auditorium (?) was known as Barn. There used to be a movie theater behind Electrical block where we spent many memorable week ends. What hasn't changed is the landscaping. Why the hell some one not grow some trees? Thanks for the video again
Hi Prateek. The song is "Praan" by Garry Schymann. I also suggest you take a look at the video MOVE. It is a nice concept, that can be used for similar videos as well. Thanks and good luck!
Wow - is this the college I went to? So many changes in the last 3 decades (I'm from 74-79 batch). Thanks for making this video - I think it is time to go pay a visit.
Great job, guys. I graduated in 2007, and the college has improved a lot since then - you've done an excellent job showcasing that. :) And Gururaj Sir danced!
NICE!.. I graduated 4 years back and I cant recognize a lot of the buildings.. Thanks for bringing back my best memories.. and seriously, this guy actually danced next to Dr.Raghavan.. Still cant believe it :P
Great job Guys! I passed out almost 15 years ago (class of 98) currently living in U.S. Even before I started at NIT, I always loved the ambience of this campus (one of the best in India) and noticed quite a few improvements have come in the recent years. This institution will always stay close to my heart and planning to show it to my kid sometime soon. Just awesome!!!
Ramasubramanian Mahadevan did you study in NIT t? can you tell me if the boys/girls campus are different?? lectures are arranged in same classroom or different?
+A pulsar 220 rider A lottttttttttttttttttttttt of changes! Girls to Boys ratio has hugely increased, curfew relaxed, lecture happens in new building, Festember & Pragyan grown gigantic and many more changes too..
Dude! I am from 1996 batch, looks like the place has changed a lot. Can't recognize a bunch of places. Swimming Pool too!! :) Thanks for posting. Nice memories.
Nice Video. Brings back fond memories, though there are so many new buildings now (I am from 78-83 group). We only had Ad am block, Elect, Mech, Civil, Chemical, library blocks and nine hostels then. The audotorium (?) was known as Barn. There used to be a movie theater behind Electrical block (or is it Mech?) where we spent many memorable week ends. What hasn't changed is the landscaping. Why the hell some one not grow some trees? Thanks for the video again
@chotushhs That was fantastic. Brought back a lot of memories. I am from the 83-87 batch, now in Australia, so congrats from Australia again ! As with old timers, I can't recognize some of the newer buildings.... Need to visit the campus again
Marvelous video...super interesting...It will definitely bring joy and a smile to all RECTians. it brought back a lot of memories...lot changed during last 10+ years.great to see so many new buildings. Soothing song and what a voice of "Palbasha Siddique"!! Way to go guys!! -Kunal
@vidsurfer111 Oh that is really awesome news! That was one of our kiddish aims while making the video, that it should someday be played at college programmes!
@steeloaye well we shot it over two days when there were hardly people,(or girls) left on campus. so yeah it sure looks that way. But we do have girls. :P
To all those people thinking "why's some guy dancing like an idiot all over nitt?". Admit it, it made you watch the entire video. Great work. But I found it really hilarious.
