Randy this is by far one of the most expensive tutorial that you have just offered for free here on this platform. I am so thankful to have undergone your Mentorship programe. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me and my entire family through these free trainings and most importantly the Mentorship programe. May God continue blessing you abundantly and Happy New Year to you! This is Davie from Malawi, Africa.
Thank you so very much, I really appreciate that and thank you for the kind comments. I am so glad that I can help share and support you every step of the way. Thank you for your Likes, Shares & Comments. It really helps.
Mostly you makes me wonder if you are part of Microsoft Excel introduction, you brings out solutions, templates, work scenarios that is mind blowing with Microsoft Excel...like seriously...is it Excel you use to do this😊🤩, @Randy you are super amazing with Excel, is an honour👍👏
Thank you so very much, I really appreciate that Richard. I will tell you a secret. I had never used Tree View control, but it was suggested to me from one of my followers. So i had to learn it on a Monday, then record and teach it on a Tuesday. LOL. So i just tried to think what would be an interesting scenario to use this on. The video seemed popular so I am sure I will use it again in the near future. Thank you for your Likes, Shares & Comments. It really helps.
Thank you so much Nathaniel & Richard. I don't think I am smarter than anyone else however i have a 'no quit' attitude and I will try new things UNTIL I figure it out. Bringing these tools and ideas to the world, and getting feedback like yours, is all the motivation I need in the world.
Hi, and thanks for your comment Paul. I do have several videos on Userforms and I plan to create a POS application with a userform coming up in the next few weeks which uses the ListView control so i am sure you will love it. Thanks so much for your continued support.
Randy, how would you go about if you had your data constructed more like a database, meaning you would have a separate table for the parents (customers) and then a table for work orders with the ID of the parent and finally a table for invoices where you have invoice ID, work order ID, and parent ID?
Hi and thanks very much for your comment. The Unique ID would be part of the Main node, you would then run and advanced filter based on this. In the Patreon update, i will include an option to show Order Items (work order items, Invoice Items, Purchase Items) which are stored on a different database, so I will be showing this, however I think its going to slow things down, but I want to try it as an option anyways. (Check out the update on Patreon next Monday for this) Thanks again
Randy, thank you for this. I've learned a lot. Can I ask, with this week's study, I want to use this with the invoice layout from the construction management with the individual tab switches and company cost for producr and it being detailed onto the final hard copy (exact as is there). How can I change this invoice layout to that? Also, I want to add a vehicle management with a vin decorder/lookup. I have customers with multiple vehicles that I'd like to keep track of, see if we have done maintenance on them in past and all. Lastly, sometimes customers have their own reference and or PO number they would wish to be included on the invoice. Is there a way to add a quick intake to make personal notes onto the invoices? I been trying to extend the header box with the customer information to include all this into that box but am having trouble with the VBA code. Thank you as always! I am enjoying playing around with the 300 package!
Hi and thanks so much and I am glad you enjoyed the training. The requirements you have requested need code, modifications, formulas and design and would not be something i can answer in a TH-cam video. Based on the training I have provided, please give it a try and if you run into any issues, please post the issue in our Excel For Freelancers Facebook Group here: bit.ly/groupexcel We have 60,000 Members who would love to help you with this. Thanks so much.
Hello Randy, do you know how can we show the data comparison in Userform in best way? Like comparing todays counts with yesterday's count for different different products. Any way to represent that in treeview?
Hi and thanks very much. It depends on the data type you want to compare. This may be much more natural in a sheet since you have tables and rows that naturally help with comparisons however you can try side by side lists boxes or you can combine the data into a single list box. I hope this helps. Should you have any additional questions, please join our Excel For Freelancers Facebook Group in which we have thousands of Excel experts who can guide and help you with your Excel Questions. Just post your detailed question, and upload your current workbook, or post detailed screenshots so we can get you the answers you need, fast. Please join here: bit.ly/groupexcel
Randy, this is brilliant, as usual. I do have one concern. Does the treeview object "travel" with the app? I mean asking inexperienced user to find it and add it seems like a stretch... The reason I ask is because on MY computer (with Excel 2010 under Win10 32bit) the file does not work and this error pops up: "could not load an object because it is not available on this machine" and excel crash. There is also an error 800a9cf1 when trying to add the control. Just thought it is important to mention
Hi and thanks so much. If you don't have the correct reference libraries loaded, it might cause an issue, however within the video I did not add any additional reference libraries than the standard. You can open up the file, without macros running, to check any missing reference libraries. This file opened up on my laptop without issues, however it is worth exploring. Thank you for your Likes, Shares & Comments. It really helps.
Dear Respected Sir, is there end of your extrabrilliance... ? It's crasy...! It's crazy to see this work and crazy to know where it will finish. Please, could i apply this on my own project. ? Not to be sold... I swear. It's only to learn and to learn more and more... Wow
