Remedy is the reason I love Poets of the Fall now, they are a band featured in pretty much every Remedy game since Max Payne 2

I was 8 years old when it first came out. The baby scene was so terrifying to me that it took me a month to get past it! I had to look up and study that part of the playthrough with the sound off and I still was bearly able to handle it. I remember when I finally got passed it, I got so sad and angry that I accidentally kicked the playstation and had to restart the level. When I got back on I, not only, cleared the level with the sound on, but I was so upset and blood thirsty that I played until the next day with tears of revenge streaming down my face lol My childhood was fuckin awesome!!!
If they actually get to the game other than an ADHD nightmare of editing.

Love to see the guys tackle Hitman 2: Silent Assassin from 2002. Plenty of potential comedy to mine from the first mission alone.
They're not getting past that first mission for sure. Plenty of rad cheats to get Troy's jollies off though

The "crying baby level" is the level I used to call it... And my gawd, I stopped for a MONTH due to that crying baby sounds echoing through that empty space, with nothing but a blood trail before getting back to that game.
...and I remember, within that one-month break, I was having a dream that I'm back in there, and believe it or not, I have to slap myself in that dream to wake me up just to make sure I'm not stuck in that level anymore.
Man... Sam Lake is like, the Hideo Kojima from Europe. The best.
I remember playing this as a kid and that opening was brutal but I loved it. I couldn’t believe it was in a game at that time.

I'm so stoked they played this as it's one of my all-time favourite games of the noughties. That said, I kinda feel that playing it casually like this does not do it justice. They almost need to do a playthrough of it, I feel. Still, the guys are entertaining as always, thank you!

The original Max Payne will always be a classic video game. The Noire style and slow motion bullet time were revolutionary when the game released back in 2001. The atmosphere, level design and sound design deserve praise. Sure, the story can be predictable and cliched, but it's still enjoyable nonetheless. This episode definitely brought back some nostalgia and fond memories when I played Max Payne back in the day. Thanks to Nolan North and Troy Baker for making this video possible!

You guys should do full playtroughs of all the Max Payne games
There's a really interesting adventure game from 1992 called Dark Seed that used the game's designer Mike Dawson's likeness for the main character. He had a sick John Oates mullet/mustache combo, and he stuck out like a sore thumb against the fantastic HR Giger-designed landscapes.

Troy says remaster, I say complete remake. One of my all time favourite games. They could do some awesome stuff with physics and destructible environments and rework the nightmare parts to be more surreal.
Fish boots! Denis Leary wore Stingray boots in Suicide Kings, a very underrated film that never really got the attention and praise it deserved. I caught that reference!

Trust me, as someone who's seen Troy and Nolan do various voices life (NYCC 2017!), the shit that comes out of their throats is stunning. Nolan did a Jason Statham so good if you closed your eyes you'd swear he'd been on stage.

seeing you guys playing and reacting to the beginning of Max Payne again today takes me back when I first played when i was 7 years old and I had the same reaction I mean just the beginning of this game hit me pretty hard oh man the good old days but that being said I’m glad you guys did a video on Max Payne, it really took me back with some good old nostalgia so thank you guys for a great video and I can’t wait to see what you guys play next.👍❤️

This game holds one of my favorite memories growing up, it was my dad who rented the game from blockbuster cause he heard from someone from work that it's a good game so we get home we start to play it and as soon as it showed the dead baby he turned it off and we took it directly back to blockbuster lol

Max Payne is an amazing trilogy of games. Max Payne 3 is an amazing end to his tale, The Airport Shootout is one of the greatest action levels ever.

@@rustysqueezebox8 I think it ended perfectly where it should, storywise. There was no more stories to tell for Max Payne, but it would be nice if he was a supporting character for a spin-off game with the same aesthetics and gameplay.

Would love to see you guys play Army of Two. It's not quite retro but its a classic co-op game that has tested and strengthened many friendships. A certain Uncle voiced one of the main characters in one of the sequels.

I know you probably won't see this but I just wanted to thank you for, well everything you've done on this channel, but specifically for your work (Back in 2013) in Deadpool. It's been very special because for one, it's a character that's very special to me, partially because I have a vocal condition that causes my voice to sound like I got bit by a radioactive Garbage disposal, and deadpool in the comics was supposed to have a weird voice, hence the yellow speach bubbles; but nobody ever portayed it well. You performed the perfect sometimes gravely sometimes squeaky voice and it's always been very special to me. So thank you Nolan, for that and everything on this channel. It's not finished, but I'll be working on a drawn portrait of you that I'd love to send to you if that's possible.

Max Payne won BAFTA for best PC Game in 2001/02. Remedy made this game and subsequently Rockstar bought the IP and asked them to do Max Payne 2. Both games are still awesome to this day.
