1:40 Wow! I always wondered if it was possible to send the boats higher up on the track after falling. I tried to set one up with a water elevator a long time ago, but could never figure out how to get it to work. I just assumed ice boat tracks had to be perfectly flat with no dips in elevation. The design in this track changes everything! I have been reinvigorated to make the ice boat tracks of my dreams. Also, excellent racetrack overall. It’s very impressive :)
I tried to do the same myself, I tried to be too advanced and use a slime block Launcher as a way to throw a player across a existing path onto a new path but I could never get it working as it required a bit of a setup as well as a way to hide some of the internals, then saw this and realized that I was trying to big brain too hard
This is what I want in my recommended. Not that over-edited shit that people make now. Also: if you do /gamerule sendCommandFeedback false then you don’t get your chat flooded
also do `/gamerule doDaylightCycle false` and `/gamerule doWeatherCycle false` so you don't have to spam time/weather commands :P edit: and `/gamerule doMobSpawning flase`
I did boat racing a while ago, from my experience adding a block on the sides of the road to slow you down if you drive over it is a great incentive to drive better, and it ups the difficulty. Also, sloped descends seem to be worse then just cliffs, as they extend the amount of time you cannot properly accelerate

Good track! You could probably also rig pressure plates and dispensers for powerups, such as a piece of dirt you can put on the track to potentially stop someone else (banana) one that dispenses a boat killing bow (turtle shell)
This is one of the most creative and impressive minecraft projects I've seen in a while. The sheer scale of the track is really cool, and i love how you even did some little skips, just like a real mario kart track!

if you're going to use command blocks, don't set weather to clear and time to day, just set /gamerule dodaylightcycle false, and /gamerule doweathercycle false, aswell as this, do /gamerule commandblockoutput false, in order to hide the stuff in chat
I've been wanting to make something like this in a multiplayer world...but holy this is HUGE! One thing I think would be really cool to implement would be using stretches of blue ice as "boosters" since they're like, 40% faster or whatever it is..would probably need a wider section for it, though OH also, hear me out: arrows that appear from dispensers that get replaced after a delay via wooden pressure plates sensing it's no longer there. These arrows are then used to try to break opponent's boats to stop them for a moment, or maybe even have certain blocks you can place down that can slow people? Idk would be hard to do without screwing over everyone already behind.
Just an advise if you do some other video of that kind : you can use /gamerule commandBlockOutput false so the command block actions does not appears in the chat (or you can use F1 to mask the interface (chat + hotbar)
I think there is a command called gamerule docommandblockoutput then set to false and it will turn off command blocks from outputting results In chat in the grey text. But I don't remember if its bedrock or java

I don't think it's possible without mods. The boat sinks if it gets in water.

I did a setup where we raced in teams of 2, changing places after 2 laps. Shotgun was given a bow and a set ammount of arrows

to freeze time so you don't have to loop a commandblock back to 1,000.
