Short and crisp. Very useful.
Hi there - CA mode stands for Creative Auto mode. CA mode is a camera setting that's designed to aid new users in achieving good quality results without having to learn and understand all of the camera's functions and how exposure is set.
Many thanks.
G’day Canon Oz, do you run courses in a classroom? Would love to do one with your company.
Canon Australia is the best canon canal on TH-cam!
You're a wizard, Harry.
Thanks! In such a short clip I’ve learnt a lot as a novice Canon DSLR user
😃After all these years, still a goo tutorial.
Hi there - B mode is Bulb mode. Cheers.
very nice brief mode explanation. can you do an in depth individual video of each mode separately?
Amazing what I just learnt in five minutes and thirty eight seconds. Thanks.
Your videos are the best. I'm new at this and I just got a Rebel T3, just what I needed. Thank you Canon!
Thanks! Just bought a T100, kit lens, and a Tamron 18-200mm Di II VC (full on newb here). Very helpful information.
Very much to the point! Thank you!
I really like your illustration. it helps a lot.
Your videos have been really helpful. Thank you!
This was a very nice tutorial. I liked the use of images to show the effect of different settings.
Here's my question: What's the best way of taking a photo of a person with a landmark in the background in the dark. For example what would be the best way of taking a photo of a person with Opera house in the background with low light conditions or at night?
i love the picture with the cars that was in my country (cuba)
Wow You grew so many grey hair in your new videos😀 you look wiser
A brilliant straight-to-the-point review. Many thanks!
Great explanation 👏👏👏👏🇦🇺
@ShyamThekyan The aperture that's common on cameras are 2.8, 3.5, 4.0 etc. These numbers are in fact 1/2.8, 1/3.5 and 1/4.0 respectively. So technically, an f/2.8 gives a shallower depth of field than an f/4.0. Cheers, the Canon team.
Thanks for this lesson
@janninz032410 Hey there, thanks for your question. Have you heard of the Sunny 16 Rule? Perhaps you could start by using that rule. Let us know how you go. Cheers, the Canon team.
Thank man you helped me a lot!!!!
Very detailed, thank you so much
Excellent lesson
wow. im really really learning a lot..
i use to be clueless and now i can work my new camera like a pro.. atleast learning
Bracketing is a way to take 3 shots ... one overexposed, one normal and one underexposed and then merging them into one image using photoshop or some other editing program. This will give you an HDRish photo which means more colour range. Cheers.
Can this be used with Lightroom?
Nice work, presice and too the point, well done
@janninz032410 Hey there, thanks for your question. A quick search for "Sunny 16 Rule" on your favourite search engine should help you out. Many thanks, the Canon team.
million thanks dude
very useful to me as a beginner
Excellent instruction. I am learning more everyday about my Canon EOS. Still learning how to use creative mode and need practice on how the settings apply to the different lenses I use. I am guessing you can't shoot at 2.8 if you don't have a lense that has that setting available. Love the tutorials. Thanks Di
Very useful. Thank you
amazing i wanna buy a canon t5 and star learn everything about shooting
@afdantes It automatically ascertains what the ideal depth of field should be via all your camera's focus points. Cheers, the Canon team.
AWESOME!
Absolutely what I've been looking for..simply explained so easily absorbed..sorry for being old forgey mode..but if hitting subscribe will do what..presuming cost involved
@chubsnellie It depends. Experiment with some of the modes to see which one suits you better. For a start, you would freeze motion with the shutter priority, when executed correctly. Cheers, the Canon team.
Great!!!
Thank you!
very helpful ..........tnx
Thanks a lot!
This was very helpful, thank you!
@CanonAustralia : Did you just mention lower aperture for greater depth of field ? I had the impression that larger apertures mean greater depth of field. Pls correct me if I am wrong - I am just a beginner
Cheers best tutorial I've seen!
very helpful

So you can only change one setting at a time? For example, you can choose to change the shutter speed on TV but then you wont have control over the other things such as apparture etc for that particular shot?
you guys amazed me..hahahhahaha you teach like my teacher when i was in college hahahahahhahaha
very imformative thanks !
is it still worth it or its time to upgrade? Wondering if purchasing new lenses to achieve portraits and for family pictures is valuable to keep my DSLR.

Why won’t the eos allow me to shoot in the portrait mode in monochrome?
I have a canon 30D and i tried to shoot in Manual mode, and for some reason the shutter was always super slow. Is this a common thing with using manual mode. Is there any correct way to get the correct settings on M mode without a light meter? Or is having a light meter best when shooting in M mode?
very good
so which mode you had it on i was told to put it on tv mode drop the iso to 100 and have a faster shutter speed so i want to get my night time photography down pack then sooner or later i will get a much better camera. i have a old canon camera from 2006 and it's a 10.1 mega pixel camera so you know i want a better mega pixel camera later on but i need some help
