I think this makes sense in a environment where a theism Is the absolute norm. A lot of people are atheists because they have not been living in a environment where theistic concepts are of any real relevance. I'm born in Germany, and I've not experienced anything that truly communicated biblical meaning until I was 20 and started searching for it on my own out of curiosity. Even in common traditional events held at churches, the religious aspect of it was really not the center of it at all. Nobody there besides probably the pastor knew the background and meaning behind these rituals. I'm baptised, my entire family is baptised. Nobody in my family even knows what a baptism truly is. Its a entirely empty ritual.
Man only has "free will" to choose his next sin. Left to his own discretion NO MAN will "choose" God (at least on God's terms). Even so-called "accepting God" is a filthy rag in God's sight Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” The LORD in not in the "churches" of today for sure. A person does not require a building set by men that teach false doctrine to have a relationship with God. The opposite is true, even. Churches teach lies. And Satan, according to the Bible, is the "Father of Lies" John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." The Bible clearly teaches - when properly read and interpreted - what is referred to as the "Doctrine of Election." This means that it is God Who chooses who will become saved and that man will NEVER choose God (at least on God's terms - Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.") This false teaching that we have "free will" to "accept" Christ is a lie. It is completely un-Biblical. This is the definition of a WORKS/GRACE gospel (small "g") and it won't save anyone. Quite the opposite according to many Scriptures - it leads to death. GOD IS IN COMPLETE CONTROL AS TO WHO GETS SAVED AND INHERITS ETERNAL LIFE. And His salvation is irresistible! No one will "reject" it. JOHN 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." Notice in the former Scripture that no one is rejecting God's call to salvation. They WILL be raised on the last day. There are hundreds of other Scriptures in the Bible that support the "Doctrine of Election". The following Scripture essentially sums it all up (and I can supply hundreds more): Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Nobody is rejecting God if He wants them saved. NOBODY!
He figures everything out, he is so smart
That hurts , because it's true. I appreciate this so much.
Not an atheist but untrusting of organized religions.

Its true in my case. I wonder if its true in a large percentage? 🤔
