    This is super informative; thank you so much, I will be attending in St. Andrews for MLitt History of Photography, and this was very helpful. I did giggle at the school-run bar, I'm in an MFA program at the University of Alaska and we too, have a bar, it's in the union

      Glad it was helpful! :) Best of luck at St Andrews! The photography department is really small so us Art History people and Photography people stuck together a lot. Hope you love St A's!

    HI! Loved the video, i was wondering if you knew anything about the UCAT, or extra tests international students have to take. Also, what website did you use to apply? Thanks!

      Hi Sorry I don’t know about the extra tests because I didn’t take any (I’m and english speaker from the US) I applied on the St Andrews website

    This is so helpful, thank you very much. I may apply for St Andrews business programs. What would you say the average age of the postgrad students are across all faculties? I am 29... little concerned there won't be many students around my age.
    If you do apply for housing in town which isn't linked to the university, do you have any suggestions on how to do so?
    Thanks, Hugo

      Thank you! There definitely is older students! I don't really know how many because I felt like a lot of the students 27+ kept to themselves. I think its a matter of not holding yourself back because you 'think you're too old' and just going to events and things. I'd say most of my friends/classmates were younger than me (younger than 25) but 3 of my friends were 28 and two of my roommates were over 30, so I know there are older students but I don't know the percentage. A lot of students were straight from their undergrad course (around 22 years old) but there were also a lot of international students who were older or people who were pursuing this after a few years working (like me). Finding housing in town is really difficult since the town is super small and are mostly undergrad students who renew the lease every year. Most of the flats in town are multi-person flats but I would check on the St Andrews housing facebook group. There are also houses in the surrounding area that were more available but were just as far as living in DRA (the dorm I lived in). !!!!Make sure to see the rental before paying anything because there are a lot of scams happening!!!

    Hi, thanks for the video. On the St Andrews website it states that all the postgraduate accommodation at RDA is all ensuite rooms, but you have stated that you have to share a bathroom? could you clarify that please. Also, are you self catered or do you have catered accommodation? Mainly though, it would be very helpful to know if there are any postgraduate rooms with private shower rooms or not at RDA? thank you for your help :)

      DRA has both. so some buildings have shared bathrooms (5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 common area kitchen) and some have their own bathroom (5 bedrooms with a bathroom in each, 1 common area kitchen). some of these are catered and some are self catered but all have a kitchen. I was self catered which worked out for me because I spent most of my day in town and didn’t want to rush back to DRA for lunch and dinner every day.

    Hi! I recently applied to St Andrews' MLitt Art History. May I ask about your experience in the MLitt Art History program and whether you would recommend it?

    Hi. Although I'm an undergraduate student, it is super informative."May I inquire about your experience with a mobile phone in the UK? Did you purchase a SIM card, and could you share information regarding the related details?"

    • @amelianotthepilot

    Hi there. Thanks for the video. I’m from the US living in UK. I like to come up to visit Edinburgh and St Andrews in the next week or so. I’m very interested in Scottish universities. Are visitors allowed on campus? Is there an organized campus tour at St Andrews?

    • @amelianotthepilot
      @amelianotthepilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      there is no real campus so you can just wander around town. but yes there’s a campus tour if you google it!

    Hi, can I ask about the PhD programme in English, are there classes and seminars for it?

    • @amelianotthepilot
      @amelianotthepilot  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i honestly have no idea i did not do a PhD. I don’t think the PhD students are required to take classes though, it’s all self study
