Ladies and gentlemen! It's January 11th, 2024 and we finally have some good ice again. After over 3" of rain we got over Christmas opened up many Minnesota lakes, we finally have some safe ice again. I don't know about you, but I was excited to get back on the hardwater. In this video I'm out on a river system flat chasing anything that bites which happened to be crappie this day. Enjoy the non stop action as I put a beatdown on the crappies and kept just enough to have fresh delicious crappie tacos with the family!
I was living vicariously through you when I was watching. To be on a school like that would be awesome!
I was definitely chasing them around but there were multiple schools on the area!
"Harvest responsibly"...cant say that enough!
Ain’t that the truth!
Awesome, another good one!
I’m going to trial that 4K 24 Linear!
This must be the morning you called. What an awesome outing!
Yes it was!
Nice video. 👍
Thanks Joseph Johnson!
I didn’t expect to see this body of water on TH-cam, ever. Don’t worry I won't say the name of it or anything, but I will say that you found the "correct" spot out there 😉.
🤫
Do you always tip your pinheads or fish them plain? Do you have a special color for crappies vs perch?
I would say I tend to tip them more than I don’t. But I have caught everything on a plain pinhead. I think the little blades have more sound when not tipped. But the less aggressive the fish the more you need to tip. I like white and chart/orange for everything.
What river is this
St. Croix
If we were closer together brother...... Gotta make plans here before to long
Can’t wait!!!
What fish finder do you use ?
Garmin Echomap 93SV with LVS 32 transducer.
Thank you
What pole setup is that
Livescope pole is the summit fishing setup. Rods 24” JT panhandler and 28” Elk River fast glass.
Video not sponsored by Kleenex. Although it should be.
Can you elaborate on that a bit? My eyes watering and more running from the 10-15 mph wind in my face?
