Thanks for the video. All I can do is watch as every tennis facility is closed. USTA season cut short. I was faced with returning this serve playing mixed doubles. Its only been a week but I miss tennis, miss my tennis friends, my doubles partner and the socialization that comes with tennis. Its not quite warm enough to play outside yet either. When it is I fully plan on getting out there and just keep my distance and playing. Keep up the videos and thanks

If you can predict kick serves, they are a nice opportunity to do a high paced attack return right?

Can you creat a clip about return serve from left hand player?
. Left hand player serve - right hand player return..
With any type of serves (top spin, flat , kick , slice, twist).
    Pls, so thank.

Can say something about the super fast forward spin with a kick serve. There is the added challenge to slice the return as the slice spins the ball even more. I tend to notice my slice return if a kicker floats or goes long as a result

Hi Jason, thanks for the question. When slicing a return off of a heavy kick serve you want to make sure your going through the ball and not floating it by contacting under the ball. Focus on driving down and the racquet will then plane through the swing path. We have instruction coming out soon on "knifing" the slice that will help. Stay tuned!

Thanks guys! i was getting MURDERED today with a lefty with a hard kick (i'm also lefty!) so everything in your video is in reverse!!! but those 3 tactics should help me face him next time; im only 5'6 so hitting the ball when it was above my shoulders/head with the "kick" was impossible to return!!!! now i'll either backup or aggressively attack before the "rise" ... great tips!

Hey guys. Once my friend signed in, it showed a lock on all of the features. Is that supposed to happen?

Blake Flores hey Blake, there’s several different membership options and the master courses are limited to particular memberships. As you can imagine our bandwidth outside of instruction is fairly limited. Have your friend send an email to membership@playyourcourt.com and they will definitely be able to better assist you. Thanks for checking out the platform, really hope it helps your friends tennis game.

Nate, is that a radical MP or PRO? Also how do you like it?

    • @Playyourcourt
      @Playyourcourt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Jessica Smith I’m playing with the MP in this particular vid but I have been testing the PRO as well. Both really solid sticks. I’m impressed with the stability and control for a lighter racquet. I’ve been battling arm issues and had to forgo the 11lb+ racquets for the time being. These were a pleasant find. Thanks for watching!

I play a guy whose game isn't great all around, but he's very tall and hits an extremely heavy kick serve.
I've been struggling because we play on a very fast surface and his balls still kick 8+ feet high and if you wait for them to come down you're easily 8 feet behind the baseline and gives him a chance to approach.
I'm trying to either slice/chip it back and come into the serve instead of waiting for it to bounce away from me, but it's hard to get a clean racquet on it.
I gotta simplify my take back, but when this guy's serve is on, I'm finding it incredibly hard to even get into the points. It doesn't just bounce high it bounces erratically wide as well. 🤔
I'd like to say I'm making progress but his service games suggest otherwise.

Sounds like you have an opponent with a great serve. You're on the right track though taking it early and chipping it. If you know you may hit short try keeping it really short and low that way he has to hit up as he moves in. This will give you a chance on the fourth ball to improve positioning,. Hope this helps!

man. i have big difficulties match up with tall guys that just kick the shit out of you in serves and groundstrokes... i always loose to them bad. it takes a lot of practice and consistency in order to beat this type of players...
