The comments in the IYAH MV are so heartwarming too! So many people who aren’t even ICs were touched by the song and MV. There’s even comments telling their stories or struggles and thanking Seung Yoon for giving them comfort and warmth. It’s very beautiful and like you said is what music is supposed to be!! Music is supposed to be make you feel good and it’s a universal thing. Seeing all these comments from ICs, non-ICs, causal kpop fans, and even non-kpop fans coming together and supporting /giving strength to one another is just wonderful.
YOON MADE HIS DREAM COME TRUE YET AGAIN.. HE TOUCHED AND COMFORTED SO MANY DIFFERENT PPL WITH HIS SONGS. HIS ALBUM IS SUCH A MUSICAL AND EMOTIONAL JOURNEY TOO! HE REALLY EXPRESSED HIS LIFE AND HARDSHIPS BEAUTIFULLY. SO MANY FEELINGS, STORIES, AND LESSONS. 😭
There are specific songs that really put you in your feels though.
IYAH was a message that Yoon wanted to tell HIMSELF.. especially his younger self. Also, his mom was also part of the inspiration for IYAH too. He wrote this song in 2015.. really that long year and a half hiatus after WINNER’s debut. Yoon was having bad anxiety about WINNER’s future cuz he knows that the life expectancy or career of an idol can be really short. Yoon didn’t want that to happen to WINNER and he is part of the maknae line and also the leader. So he really shoulder a lot of the responsibilities and decisions for WINNER. So he called his mom and they had this long talk and his mom basically said.. that no matter what..he’s still HER BABY... she still sees Yoon as a baby..a kid in such a tough industry/world.
365 is a song about his late father who he didn’t have a great relationship with..the lyrics man..so relatable and it hurts. You can hear Yoon’s conflicting feelings.. resentment, but also regret for not reconnecting with him earlier before her passed away. 😕
TREAD ON ME/SSAK is a song dedicated to his antis/haters.
CAPTAIN is a FAN SONG.
Those are just a few songs that are very personal to him. I think BRUISE is also a song that is very relatable in terms of growing up and the in between of emotions. It’s very emotional.

Oh you’re back! And I am so happy you are feeling better! Thank you for reacting to Yoon’s new song, the whole album is so beautiful.
One of my favorite songs on the album is 365, a song he wrote about his late father who abandoned he and his mom as a child. There is a live band version you could react to that is beautiful and so emotional.
I’m glad you are able to be together and catch up, I know the feeling of being separated from a sibling for too long
