  • IN THIS VIDEO, I CHANGE THE OIL ON MY GL1800 GOLDWING 2015. I CHOSE AMSOIL BECAUSE ITS PRETTY MUCH THE BEST OIL ON THE MARKET FOR MOST MOTORS. AND ITS NOT CHEAP. I RECOMMEND GETTING THE FILTERS OFF EBAY. Edited by VideoGuru:videoguru.page...

Hey Mo....enjoyed your video! One comment though, Amsoil is 100% synthetic, NOT just full synthetic....there is a big difference. Full synthetic oil still uses crude oil for its' base stock, but Amsoil is 100% synthetic, even the base oil. I've used Amsoil for everything I own for over 13 years...motorcycle engine and rear drive, car engine oil, even my lawn mower. It is the BEST!!

Thank you Mo and David for your great oil change vid. I appreciate all of your motorcycle videos Mo. I just recently bought a 86 Aspencade SEI, only problem is it’s in my uncles garage in Iowa and I’m in Germany. Watching you and a few others on your journeys remind me of my prior rides before I headed overseas.

That’s all I use Mo. Have for years in my Harley and now my Wing. Not sure why I’m not getting notified of your video uploads.

AMSOIL is a really great product. Definetely great reviews.👍👍
For me it's on line purchase only. No local dealers near me. Sooo... I have been running the Mobil-! motorcycle oil
in my Goldwing's. Have used it for 23 years and have enjoyed seeing no need for valve adjustments checking to spec's. The price of oil is not really an issue for me. It's mostly availability, and I can buy the Mobil-1 locally for $12 a quart.
Occasionally it's on sale for $10. But being that said, I would be running AMSOIL if I could get it locally.
Packages have a tendency to disappear from front porches here where I live!!! 💩

No, not same subject here but, have you any insight as to how I can make my throttle easier to twist. My other bike with a crap buster on I can rotate the throttle using a finger. On the Goldwing it is very hard to twist. Just looking for a way to make it easier to twist.

Amsoil is great. You can technically run it about 5x the milage between changes vs conventional oil. IE: 25k vs 5k (kms, not miles.)
The other thing is, 20-30yrs ago vehicles were carbed, iron blocks, looser tolerances. You were litterally dunping gas into the oil back then, especially on cold winter start, shrinken rings n pistons choke on etc etc. Youd change the oil n could just smell gas. Now, thats not an issue anymore, oil is better, engines are better, you really can go 10-15k between oil changes... 10-25 if running synthetic, depending on temps n conditions etc etc. So amsoils 25km claim, is actually very typical of most oils.
Having said that, I'll go 10k with synthetic in my vehicle, and still change the bike oil every spring. (I don't even put 5k on in a year... lol (canada, we can only ride 6mnths out of 12.. lol))

Mo, I have an oil test machine. I've tested this an every type oil from Walmart. This oil goes too sezure with 180lbs like all the rest. Except one! Casteriol centex goes too sezure with 210lbs.

Hi Mo, I see your in GR, I live in Otsego...new to the 1800 Wing, have owned and riding for over 50 years. My question is my 01 with brand new tires, once I changed them the suspension got very stiff, did the bypass on the left fork and it did not change anything, if I can get with you it would be greatly appreciated, retired and on fixed income so shops are not the answer for me...keep the shiny side up, hope to hear from you soon...Mitch

I wonder that you still have your watch on the wrist during the oil change, especially because of the leather bracelet.

I've always used AMSOIL full synthetic. I use a HiFlo filter. I think they are better than the OEM Honda filters
