I agree Sam, AB probably shouldn’t play in Unrivaled. She’s better off having more work out sessions with their new skills trainer Keith Porter. I’m up in the air up Lexie playing in Unrivaled. Her style fits but one things about Lexie is she’s a little hesitant to shoot or create or her own shot. In Unrivaled, it’s like a pickup game almost, you gotta he aggressive to get your shots. Maybe a couple/few seasons of that can have a good impact on Lexie’s offensive aggressiveness.

It's good for the fans and I guess Caitlin will get some shine from it but she doesn't get a cut. When I googled it all I got was: 'Caitlin Clark's Nike shoe deal is worth $28 million over eight years. This deal is considered a record-breaking endorsement for a WNBA player.
    Explanation'
As part of her deal, Nike will create a signature shoe for Clark, who plays for the Indiana Fever.
Clark's deal is the biggest known deal for a women's basketball player.
So, for me it's 'So what.' Her agent screwed her probably drooling over her 5%.

Nike fired a shizzload of their upper management, this guy is a new CEO. Looks like he's serious about marketing CC.
Most Bigs/Posts are not going to look good in Unrivaled; they don't have the ball-handling and mobility required. The players who are going to shine are the bigger guards and athletic wings. Think CC, Rickea, Phee, etc. Also why Reese should be playing behind Lexie from here on.

  • @Darth_LordB2
    @Darth_LordB2 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

The main problem with this whole situation with CC shoe deal is CC fans don’t understand what a signature shoe deal is & how it works. Go look up details about signature shoe deals, collect data, & then you need to know & understand how negotiations work.
    1. The 28 million is just the face value of the contract with royalties factored in over 8 yrs. A shoe deal is like a music contract the real money comes from actual sales of merchandise not the contract value without the royalties included. And it’s why every player doesn’t get one can you SELL products?
    2. It’s important to remember you have two options with signature shoe deals. First, you take a higher yearly salary because you think or know you will not sell many shoes. Or second, you take a lower yearly salary with a higher royalty percentage because you know you are going sell a lot of shoes. But you can’t get both it’s either or negotiations.
    3. The typical royalty percentage for signature shoes deals is 5% but it’s negotiable.
Now, knowing this with the low yearly salaryCC took I’m sure CC negotiated a higher royalty percentage. Which is the correct thing for her to do because CC & her agent knows she is going to sell a lot of shoes. CC will easily make 100’s of millions a year once her shoes are released.
The reason NBA players like LeBron, Zion, & KD etc… Get higher yearly value contracts is because they know they are not going to sell many shoes so they take lower royalty percentages.
There’s a dirty secret in the shoe business that most don’t know. NBA players don’t sell a lot of shoes. MJ is the only player that sells shoes which is why he is still the king to this day. Also, Nike has only paid MJ 1 million a year in salary but his royalty checks from sales are 200 million plus yearly. That how he became a billionaire 😂 But you will not hear MJ has the biggest signature shoe deal but his yearly earning dwarfs every player in the NBA nobody is close to MJ.
I firmly believe CC will surpass MJ in yearly shoes sales. So, please stop looking at the 28 million value thinking it’s a bad deal because it not CC & her agent are no fools. There’s a reason all those other companies dropped out of the running to sign her & it wasn’t because she wanted a higher yearly salary. 😂 It’s because she wanted a bigger share of the sales. She will be the highest paid athlete yearly in the world once her shoes are released.
All her fans need to chill & calm down. Nike knows what they are doing they need to produce 50 million shoes if they’re smart because CC is going to sell them and it takes time make that many shoes. Nike produces 50 million Jordan’s each year as a reference. Do you think CC will sell as many shoes as Jordan? I do. Nike signature shoes typically take 18 months on avg from development to market.
Finally, LeBron’s 1st shoe was a limited release of just 10,000 shoes. And I’m sure it was the same for others who made it to market quickly. If Nike did that with CC there would have been all hell raised. 😂
Even MJ waited until his 2nd season & Nike only produced 4 million shoes in ‘85. They will need helluva lot more than that for CC 😂, Nike is doing the right thing taking their time to make sure everything is right because billions are at stake.
CC fans main concern should not be when the shoes are released but they should be worried about being able to purchase a pair when they are released. Pray 🙏 Nike produces enough to kill & stop the resellers from buying up all the inventory & then price gouging with markups.
Just be patient the best things in life are worth waiting for.
