I just started rowing to improve my fitness and mental health. So far I can only do 4 minutes of proper form and consistent effort.

When you travel, where do you borrow your shells from? Is there some kind of international organization where local rowing clubs will loan to members of other clubs?

I haven't been relying on anything formal, just nice people. I email ahead that I'd like to row with them and film their water. Lots of kind rowers out there.
