You can roll your board/foil like a pro! I was waiting if you are going to smash it on a floor... 🤣😜👍

Thanks for the tips, would love to hear you talk about riding the foil in big swell, when the foil gets picked up and you don't need the kite, especially when you can downwind swell ride on the foil.

Thanks man, its the most amazing feeling on a foil and no one talks about it. Off to Pagham today as the ferry is booked out so I cant get to Seaview.

what do you think of the twintip boards with the double foil? quite interested in learning but current prices are a bit steep for me

Tom, good video. Love the washing line ! I'm just a beginner on a twin tip. Already looking ahead though.......you say the whole stance / front foot is totally different to a twin tip so when my kite skills get better, shall I just go for a bit of foiling ? Cheers, Roger

Lol, don't pull center lines upwards when launching a foil kite in light wind, it won't help and looks silly. Always straight backwards, long steady pull.

Morning Tom, I saw Ben Maz at Applecross in Perth yesterday, and recommended that for learning he start with one longitudinal strap to hold the board on its rail in the water while learning. He can then use those skills to attempt strapless later. Alum Bay does look sketchy, but when I was back in the Island to see family last August I promised myself I'd get out on the foil in Sandown or Compton bays during my planned trip next year, after nailing tacks this coming WA summer. Nice to see foiling footage around the 'home' Island. Cheers.

yes a strap can help, however only if you get it in the right place. I have know a lot of people who have held themselves back with footstraps in the wrong place. Strapless makes it much easier to adjust your weight to the right place. Most first generation production foils dont have footstraps screws in the right place! Worth a note... foiling on the island is epic! :)
