It took me a while to realize but this man is a genius. He knew what he was doing with this song. He literally took musiq soul child half crazy song and turned it upside down into a deep mental aspect of what it feels like to try to move on from somebody instead going half crazy over somebody from losing them. He did an opposite theme of musiq soul child song and that what makes this so freaking GOOD!!!!

I luv how the " calling me back" line has two meanings, firstly, she's calling him back because he keeps calling her, and it may be to get closure but it doesn't turn out that way because, secondly, something about her energy keeps calling him back ( and his to her).Some bonds are hard to break. Some can't be broken. Even though it may be toxic now, that does not mean it always will be. But sometimes it's just not meant to be, like in this case he ends the song with "I don't want to rewind" so I gather he's done...that is until the next time she calls him back lol.
