Washing cats is very stressful for them, and they are really clean animals, constantly cleaning their fur, so it is usually not necessary to wash them (unless they have a medical issue). Also, 40 minutes in that machine seems very stressful! We also have a cat and we don't wash him. Watching from Canada, I like you're cat!
