Very detailed and informative. Thank you for sharing, you are kind of making me feel more interested in this career now I've just started Adult learning for gcse but MATHS 😳😳 ,I was actually surprised that I did so well in Maths on the Assessment day.will see how it goes because this career is my dream 🙂
Hi, I love the video.I would like to know how I can become an ODP. I am currently studying Health Social Care with Foundation and so when I finish Foundation I would like to take this course.
Hi - we can't advise on entry requirements but this video features the University of Huddersfield and you can find contact details here for follow up queries: courses.hud.ac.uk/full-time/undergraduate/operating-department-practice-bsc-hons
Id check with different universities maybe even your local hospital. But Access to HE in Health would be the one most universities would like. I mentioned checking local hospitals as most hospitals offer another route, its a degree apprenticeships for ODP. youd work in the operating theatre as a Healthcare Assistant (position lower than ODP) and do the ODP degree at the same time, you get a normal salary and don't have to pay for the degree (as the hospital pays it.) Literally learning on the job.

Hi Ali, Thanks for your comment. I would recommend contacting the university you're interested in with this. They were have the entry requirements and can help. Good luck with your course search.
@@unitasterdays ❤️❤️thanks a lot, actually i want to work in uk not to study😅we have to send our degree of education to hcpc or nmc(i dont know in which one i have a better chande to be accepted😅) and hcpc or nmc evaluate that we can work there or not..but this process has a high price for me,really high🥲,so i should be sure about accepting my degree for job🥲can you guide me ?or intrudce me to a person like me?in Operating Department Practitioner?
@@alirezaie6185 yes, you can get HCPC registration in ODP if you match with their SOP. Medical Technologist Operation Theatre Technology (4 yrs Bsc) can join ODP NHS. also Critical Care Technologist & Anesthesia Technologist (Asian degree) are eligible for HCPC registration if their SOP & other requirements matched with HCPC guideline. I'm also on this path.... Trying... 😊🌸
