Of all the stories i have heard of St. Bernadette , this is most complete. In all the others, after her visions at Lourdes, she rode off to a convent and lived a tolerable life (not necessarily happy, but tolerable)
So needed to hear this as i thought i was being ungrateful when i would scream in agony after a surgery and thought it was a sure sign i wasn't 'doing it right' or bearing my cross patiently...(i did feel sorry for the med staff and other patients though - yet was even scolded by the nurses for disturbing the others)
What a beautiful soul is our Saint Bernadette!
Thank you so much Fr. Anthony for bringing us a more complete picture of her life!
Saint Bernadette please pray for us.
Our Lady of Lourdes, please pray for us

There again, Mary choose a humble, simple girl to carry out her message to the world. Fr. Anthony, my heartfelt thanks for sharing the life story of St. Bernadette and how she becomes the messenger of the Immaculate Conception. When Jesus and Mary call someone, they’re always sure to receive the yes despite hesitations, doubts, difficulties and the sooner or later answers. Many children, adolescents and adults although poor but living in humility, simplicity and childlike are often good candidates to do ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Mother Mary, intercede for us that all your spiritual children on earth will learn to attentively listen to you and follow your instructions for our eternal salvation. Thank you, Fr. Anthony, for sincerely spending your time by gathering materials and informations for us to know, value the virtues practice by St. Bernadette and imitate her. Gods bless you.

As I'm following the life of St. Bernadette, I'm drawn to her everytime I read or watched true to life stories about her, before the apparitions and after her death. A young, humble, ignorant, sickly, illiterate until the age of 14 and belong to a very poor family in Lourdes, France. She has all the right , like many people who go to Lourdes to be cured of their illnesses by the miraculous spring water that she herself started through the intercession of the Virgin Mary who appeared to her for eighteen (18) days beginning Feb. 11, 1858 It stucked to her conscience that it's not for her to do so as the Virgin Mary told her that She can't promise her happiness in this world but to the next

Thank you Fr. Anthony. Praying to our Lady of Lourdes through St. Bernadette for all people. When I was young, every lenten season during the late 60's and early 70's, I always look forward for the movie The Song of Bernadette on TV...little did I know that I will be able to visit Lourdes, France in 2004...it's worth all the wait. God is good and thanks be to God. Amen.

Wonderful talk; I have been reading the book by Francis Trochu; She is a wonderful witness for a miracle: she keeps it simple. Such sightings are indeed hard to accept, but one can not deny her. It really happened.

Walt Disney's Snow White was inspired by Saint Bernadette Soubirous' glass coffin and appearance of sleeping and at the end the prince like Jesus takes Snow White to the castle on the clouds symbolizing heaven.

Heal Father Anthony's health. Cure Pope Francis. I am glad to be reading this book about this saint being discussed. Yes, as she and many other saints are full of miracles, and as we know not all of us are currently, sometimes in person never, or have been able to access and travel to and arrive in person to the saints' shrines, holy fountains, tumes, cemetaries, etc. So, St. Bernadette pour on us all your water, holy water, blood, etc. as we were at those waters and grado or whatever it is called, sorry for my spelling errors. But,w wash us inside and outside our bodies with all that to heal and cure us. Yes, with the help of Mary too as usual. Please do that to the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. Bless them that they also believe in and see miracles for survivors and are so thankful and lucky they feel or cannot explain in words their good feeling to live through it, and they I am sure hope passionately for others around them suffering or who did not survive. It was shown on news with the mention of miracles, so God, good when the world can come together to see and acknowledg you and any prayers to you, your family, and all saints. Please get rid of my thyroid nodule, and I not need surgery please for my nodule or thyroid, and I not have thyroid problems. I not have heart pauses or problems, not have tumors on it or near it, and I not have the heart out of socket or place or be crooked,a and I not have bones near the heart out of socket or place. I not have any messed up or broken finger or toe nails, especially this right poitner finger as it hurt. It not be broken or infected. I not need amputations, surgeries, etc. Cure my cousin Juan Ramos with unknown illness, and he need no more blood transfusions. my friend Einez not have anymore bone cancer, and doctors say only 5 months for her to live, but with miracles and St. Bernadette and Mary can heal to amaze doctors for that thought. She with God's will can beat this illness, and she already beat with chemo and suffering for breast cancer, so keep chemo out of it. Just leave God in all of it for her and all us in the world.
