Thanks for the question, do you mean the lanterns in the thumbnail? Those say 'matsuri' (祭), meaning festival. It was a few days after the big Gion Festival but it was generally the summer festival season so there's a bit more going on🏮
That's an interesting idea. Here the focus is more on the sights and sounds of a place, the atmosphere more than the details, but in the future I may try to make a new channel that is more of a walking tour style with information about the places seen along the way🤔
Beautiful walk through Kyoto! Loved the mix of iconic spots and hidden gems, especially as day turned to night. Looking forward to more explorations!
How lovely. I used to live near the Gosho and I don’t know how many times I’ve walked those roads. This brings back many memories..
Beautiful walk! Excellent Kyoto! Thank you so much! Do-mo arigatoe! Japan, you're my love!
I love walking around Kyoto so much. Takase River at night is one of my favourites!
Thank you as always. I did like the step stones very much, no idea if I would have crossed them but they looked nice :)
The turtle stones made it a very enticing way to cross
