I go full support with Monarch. Boosting everyone's shields and peppering their target with gunfire and rockets. Doesn't net you many kills but it's all about the win. Besides I like to think the other players (especially randoms) feel a sense of relief knowing their teammate really has their back.

Today i was playing mostly titan brawl, i decided to go into some regular games. About ten seconds after spawning, a cloak pilot stunned me, jumped over me and executed me. I then left and went back to titan brawl.
Titanfall Legends her shield siphoning is fine however after playing for hours with my friends and monarch in titan brawl and attrition I feel like the combination of the slowing down the speed and turning of the enemy titan plus stunning your titans vision is too much together and should only slow your titans movement when walking when hit by energy siphon.
So far the tweaks they've made are working as intended especially for the volt. The flatline just feels a little more inconsistent because the RNG bullets do less damage now. Granted if you get on target it still rips through people relatively well. Hopefully the devotion did get nerfed enough this time
First impressions of Monarch are pretty good, something I want to be good at. I like how she controls and getting to find the right combo of Cores is fun. I tried support with shields to others, but it feels like it doesn't help too much. It would be better of you got more Core or gave more shields, but that's just day one feelings and I'll see how that goes. Relic is gonna take time to figure out. Never played TF1, so this map is confusing. Fun and awesome as hell with the design, but gonna take time. And as an Ion main...yeah still kinda salty about my double Laser Shot...just a little :P

I hate how Ronin mains feel that they are hard done by with the execution as if it's a bad one and there the only one in the boat. But I feel like the execution is fine. Just cause you're a ronin main doesn't get you any kind of special treatment. I'm an Ion main, and I feel like my execution is terrible. So STFU ok? I didn't really care but I see all these ronin mains complaining and it pisses me off.
TBH Ronin is a cqc and if used well would amount to more executions. They just want something they wouldn't get bored quickly with. And like he said they're just a bit underwhelmed.
I simply love how intense playing new titan can be now. Sometimes i get those realy crazy moments when fighting other titans combat is much longer and requiring. Good work Respawn !
Ronin's prime execution was always amazing, the sound effects and the speed of it make it cool and almost comical, and don't get me started on that samurai style
Interesting thoughts on Titan Hunter. One thing I've heard but can't confirm is that it applies to Titan *Assists* as well as kills. If that's true, it's way, way more valuable that it seems on paper. It's much easier to get Titan Assists as a Pilot than to get last hits.
Just a tip I've been passing around, I've been hitting reapers with the energy drain beam when there is no titans around. Easy way to build up that shield

you're right about the termination range. I was Monarch doomed and this scorch didn't even take a full swing and he teleported to me when I was dead just like you said.
I agree with your opinions Iniquity, but I think you need to give Monarch more credit. She may not be to good in the beginning, but if you use overcore and work on building that core she is a beast. I built mine around re-arm and rockets, it destroys.
Today I was on an awesome killing streak. I got all 3 of my monarch upgrade cores,plus 2 or 3 extra cores,I executed like 3 titans all while being close to doomed,I executed two titans while doomed and I got so much batteries and I had the accelerator,double salvo rockets,and extra damage siphon,and destroyed lots of titans with my cores.It was epic,I took away all their health in 10 seconds.
the part about the melee range is so fucking true its ridiculous i can be 6 feet away from a monarch and they would punch the air and still get the execution.....like TF!!!!
I'm G11 with the flatline, and I can definitely say, that for *me* the gun is just nuked, what makes me really sad. Spitfire = Fewer shots to kill; Volt = Fewer shots to kill R-201 = You can imagine. Combine the chaotic recoil of the flatline with all of this, and you're rewarded wiiiith.. A gun that's hindering yourself. I was playing with the volt yesterday, and to me, it felt like the flatline, only with a recoil/spray pattern, and better damage. I really wish they give it some kind of *little* buff, because, if I remember right, it was a 3-4 shot kill. Now it's like 5-6 (In my perception) And because of that, it's just not possible for me, to kill someone. I'm genuinely sad, because this is the gun I played almost since I started playing Titanfall 2. At that time, frothy and everyone else would say "Bad recoil, unusable. Moving on." But nevermind that, I still played it, and perfected my playstyle with it, to get 24-25 kills in not that few games. Now I barely can get to 15, the last 10 games from me were having only 6-7 kills. It just somehow keeps me from playing Titanfall 2, because if I want to be "good" now, I have to play with guns, that I don't like. And why should I have to play with guns that I don't like, and not with the gun that I'm G11 with? Anyways, great video Iniquity, I'm always hyped for new videos from you.
About devotion: it remains good but you need perfect accuracy if you want to win a 1v1 fight fastly. if you have time to ramp it up it's good too but it just doesn't instantly destroys any enemy at any range like before. I think it could just use a little buff of the damages at short range
I don't think you'll see anyone using the devotion anymore. The devotion had been my favorite gun since watching my first death to it in a kill cam. Even with all of the hate and nerfs I continued using it. This latest patch makes it too frustrating to use. It tickles people at long range and if someone jumps in close you're defenseless. The only chance I get to kill is when I hold the trigger down and spray wildly into a crowd of enemies.

I think monarch suffers a worse form of the northstar complex in how she can't really do much without teammates or backup. Monarch just lacks any form of reliable burst damage without the tracking rockets. Unless the entire barrage of rockets hits, it's not going to do significant damage to any titan. I wish they all at least just flew straight out of the middle pod because the ballerina spin that they do makes it nearly impossible to hit all of your rockets at mid-long range
Colonel Dinggus true but that's her purpose, being a supportive titan. It is annoying only when there are a lot of pilots with arches as you can't defend yourself
Iniquity Games I've watched the video twice now and she can do damage but in my experience she seriously suffers when going up against ion at any range and northstar at anything but close range. All ion has to do in order to counter basically all of monarchs offensive capabilities is hold L1 for a few seconds, let it go to throw whatever she catches (if anything) back and hold it again for another few seconds. She can always put her shield up to catch anything you shoot her with before it does serious damage unless she's not looking at you or you jump in her face with rockets while she doesn't have the shield up. Northstar rips monarch to shreds whenever she has any sort of significant cover at medium or farther range. It basically forces monarch to either bail or play like ronin because the rockets are far too unpredictable at range and she has virtually no impactful defensive capability without activating her core.
I was playing with monarch. I was using the energy syphon and needed to stop it (animation cancel) so I meleed. at that moment a ronin un-phased infront of me an I got an execution. iniquity, if you believe me, like this. ☺

I consider myself a mid-level player but it's been frustrating over the past year because my Tone always gets wrecked now. I feel like Monarch is going to slowly replace Scorch for my favorite Titan... in the first Titanfall, I liked to consider myself rather adept with the Chaingun, and when I saw that Monarch had it as a primary, albeit with less magazine size, I was pretty happy. Another thing I've noticed is that the Accelerator is an upgrade for monarch, which was an attachment in the last game. The accelerator is what made the chaingun function for me, so seeing it's return is awesome. Now we wait for Quad Rocket and Triple Threat... maybe Arc Cannon
Dan Foster after messing around with her and having her gen 2 already I will tell you this. run overcore it will help you get Max level ASAP 25% extra shield is super helpful. if not, rearm reduced cool down is a go to. core upgrades: arc rounds rearm and reload and accelerator is my go to loadout for Monarch it absolutely shreds enemy titans. key tip: play near other titans and kinda use them as a meat shield.
Xirberus running pretty much the same set up. But as I played Ronin for the last 14 hours of playtime I can't get the gang of Monarch. Especially Rearm. Being where the Phase shift ability is, I just don't remember to use it often enough. :D
Божидар Димитров keep playing her, it will become second nature like tones sonar pulse. you have to utilize in tandem with you other abilities. also side note rearm refresh you dash meter as well. so if you need to make some quick space or close the gap it can be used in this way.
On your mention of executions/melee range, I believe that somehow the patch did increase the range somehow. I play on the One and I put in a bunch of hours in yesterday, I thought it was just me but I believe that it has been extended. People were getting unbelievably far melees and executions on me, and at first I though maybe I was lagging and it was just my internet. Then I did some testing, and what do you know, A guy can jump 15 feet above my head and all I have to do is look up, press melee, and my character ninja kicks into the air to kill him! So, I tried to look up a forum to discuss this, none yet. Maybe just use your comment section?
I am happy about the rifle buff as a pc player. I am not crazy about what it did to the g2, but I liked using the r201 and on pc it was useable, but pretty mediocre. I did ok with it, then a bit before the update ran into a patch where I could barely get kills with it; even though before I had done fine with it before then. I have been using it and doing pretty well; but it seems balanced in that people are using a lot it now, but not as much as other weapons like the smgs/flatline when they were considered to be overpowered and people were using them to tryhard.

ion is the perfect monarch counter, monarch doesn’t have any weapons that can go through his shield.
Monarchs arc rounds break shields quick and drain ion energy, so there’s still viability

I was playing with monarch. I was using the energy syphon and needed to stop it (animation cancel) so I meleed. at that moment a ronin un-phased infront of me an I got an execution. iniquity, if you believe me, like this. ☺
with Ronin primes execution he should have phase dashed and slashed the titan twice really fast then chopped the pilot in half through the titan.

That opening comment is so funny. I played Tone religious and did better than average with it, but now I find it's super slow and I cant target anything anymore. I consider myself a mid-level player but it's been frustrating over the past year because my Tone always gets wrecked now. I'm trying to work with Ion and Monarch but they aren't helping the cause.Why does everyone want Tone so dead.. lol

I feel like Monarch is going to slowly replace Scorch for my favorite Titan... in the first Titanfall, I liked to consider myself rather adept with the Chaingun, and when I saw that Monarch had it as a primary, albeit with less magazine size, I was pretty happy. Another thing I've noticed is that the Accelerator is an upgrade for monarch, which was an attachment in the last game. The accelerator is what made the chaingun function for me, so seeing it's return is awesome.
Now we wait for Quad Rocket and Triple Threat... maybe Arc Cannon
I bought Ronin prime yesterday and noticed that his sword floats on his back because they didn't include a holster for it and I can't unsee it!
btw iniquity, you can shoot the energy siphon at anything mechanical, like even spectres and stalkers and reapers, to gain a sheild with it

25% extra shield is super helpful. if not, rearm reduced cool down is a go to.
core upgrades:
arc rounds
rearm and reload
and accelerator
is my go to loadout for Monarch it absolutely shreds enemy titans.
key tip: play near other titans and kinda use them as a meat shield.

Xirberus running pretty much the same set up. But as I played Ronin for the last 14 hours of playtime I can't get the gang of Monarch. Especially Rearm. Being where the Phase shift ability is, I just don't remember to use it often enough. :D
Божидар Димитров keep playing her, it will become second nature like tones sonar pulse. you have to utilize in tandem with you other abilities.
also side note rearm refresh you dash meter as well. so if you need to make some quick space or close the gap it can be used in this way.
On your mention of executions/melee range, I believe that somehow the patch did increase the range somehow. I play on the One and I put in a bunch of hours in yesterday, I thought it was just me but I believe that it has been extended. People were getting unbelievably far melees and executions on me, and at first I though maybe I was lagging and it was just my internet. Then I did some testing, and what do you know, A guy can jump 15 feet above my head and all I have to do is look up, press melee, and my character ninja kicks into the air to kill him! So, I tried to look up a forum to discuss this, none yet. Maybe just use your comment section?

I'm gonna use Monarch just because that execution is so brutal!
I am happy about the rifle buff as a pc player. I am not crazy about what it did to the g2, but I liked using the r201 and on pc it was useable, but pretty mediocre. I did ok with it, then a bit before the update ran into a patch where I could barely get kills with it; even though before I had done fine with it before then. I have been using it and doing pretty well; but it seems balanced in that people are using a lot it now, but not as much as other weapons like the smgs/flatline when they were considered to be overpowered and people were using them to tryhard.
The thing about monarch is that she doesn't have any obvious weaknesses.
Nothing counters her she don't counter nothing.

I think monarch needs a bit of changing. First, I get a shield from the execution. second, I get executed. It's just annoying.
Ronin primes execution should've been him cutting the chassis in half then stabs the sword inside the main chassis (you know, where the pilot is) .
Lord Of Admirals that's pretty repetitive. His original already does that, it's just the Titan falls to the ground and ronin stabs it through the main chassis
Borg Borg but unlike the first move where he nlknocks him to the grond, he still has the severed chassis in the air, look at warframe Nikana prime executions ,what do you think his second move after that should be, any ideas, like I'm really trying to find out new styles of executions.
