QOTD: Golisopod. The absolute best corebreaker. Took me to the leaderboards. Breaks swampert & walrein. Breaks Anine and nido, breaks any combination of deoxys, dark types, and trev, breaks things cresselia and sandslash are usually paired with. Its just a monster.
Yeah tbh I've since seen loads of Giratina & Alolan Sandslash so I dunno what was going on there lol. Genuinely wondered if people just don't use Giratina anymore after these battles haha.
QOTD: Grass knot Heliolisk. I run it on the lead with venusaur and shadow Zard. Core breaks the Zard/swampert core I see so often. So many swamperts swap into it and no shield the grass knots its incredibly satisfying.
That’s the best moveset for it imo. Double kick is a good fast move. It would be nice to have sacred sword for the steel types but it’s nice one shotting flyers
QOTD: Can't think of a particular core, but I currently enjoy running Guzzlord, which shuts down most starter mons like Greninja & Swampert, completely walls Jelli, Trev & A-Muk plus it can pick up a fight against Cress & other tanks.
I don't have a core breaker for the current season but before the swords of justice got Double Kick Shadow Shiftry and Wing Attack Zard got popular Shadow Shiftry was an underrated menace. Able to blow holes in Tina, Cress, Swampert, and Trev.
So this might be a dumb question but when it comes to breaking swipe does the debuff aspect of the move affect Pokemon differently depending on whether or not they resist/take super effective damage from dragon typing? I understand the raw damage of the charge move taken can vary depending on typing but I assumed the debuff affects opponents the same across the board - if someone can clarify that would be awesome. Thanks! (And great content as always Callum)
Fun fact: xl pupitar (1880cp) wins cp from cresselia after yesterday's rampage(2-22-1) i am considering to run Steelix in stead of golem to help gyarodos and xl pupitar win
I've been wanting to raise a Heliolisk recently but I'm kind of confident that Breaking Swipe is gonna get nerfed because of Steelix. Even if that means Heliolisk isn't going to be nearly as strong, at least the rest of the meta can breathe if Steelix gets pushed out completely
It’s kinda does but depends cause my team was really weak to heliolisk but was lucky that the other opponents back line was fragile to my remaining pokemons
I've been using Heliolisk since he was updated with Breaking Swipe. He has been awesome. I had to switch to Bulldoze after running into so many Steelix. I also use Cresselia with Barbaracle.
Started PoGo in 2022, and have found both Ultra and Master League play to be easier to advance in than Great League. As a Pokemon noob in general I have a hard time moving past Ace, but I can’t even hit Ace when GL and theme cups are the only options.
The open ultra and master leagues are far more fun and diverse than the great league if you ask me and it's been this way for a while. It just sucks that masters especially has such a high barrier to entry
Tend to agree actually! As a late PoGo adopter I have found both Ultra AND Master (oddly enough) easier to play in. For me it is a struggle to advance past Ace, but can at least make it there when I play UL or ML.
I've always heard that Master League is the best league but it's basically pay to play, or grind ridiculously hard which is also not really an option for most people.
I honestly just haven't played much UL recently which is why I've had a tough time reading the meta. Especially when I saw 0 Giratina in my first day back, which I used to see in basically every set.
I think you've misinterpreted my content. I don't make videos for you to use the teams I run. I make videos for entertainment. Usually my teams are very spicy & quite obvious that I'm not suggesting that you run them. This team isn't as spicy but at no point did I suggest you run this team or any of the teams I showcase. In this video I specifically stated that I haven't played UL in a while so wasn't sure about the meta I'd be facing (I was also confused at the 0 Giratina or Alolan Sandslash I faced in 30 battles, which my team would have done a lot better if I saw either of those Pokémon more commonly). I still mentioned the flaws for this team in the intro & suggested slightly different things I could have done to give the team more coverage. Also, nearly half the battles in this video are losses so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Hell yeah that’s was going to be my answer!! Best safe switch hands down
@@Mexicangking95until it sees xl Mantine Peli and lanturn on the same team 😂
@@StaaarL0rddoubt thatll ever happen since electric types exist
@@moyai9590 true but I did face that team in 3100s elo.
nice video! no giratina in 30 battles? That is literally insane

Algo lol

QOTD the old exeggutor did wonders for me In a set plagued with virizion + electricians pokes.
Team was Exeggutor, steelix and excadrill
QOTD : Galarian Weezing -> Virizion, Steelix Core
Virizion with leaf Blade and Stone Edge.
Always having fun against water types and flyers.
That’s the best moveset for it imo. Double kick is a good fast move. It would be nice to have sacred sword for the steel types but it’s nice one shotting flyers

Same but I love to bully giratina with guzzlord using rare candies is worth it 👍
What mons do you use along guzlord

All debuffs are the same

Mad respect to the spice

Yeah I'd probably hold off. It BS does get nerfed I'm gonna be so mad because of all the effort I went to to get my GL Rayquaza lol
Lol you took it seriously 😂
I forgot who was that guy who was saying heliolisk can surprise keeds with bulldoze
Took what seriously?
Bro from 11 Nov onwards, I wasn't getting notifications...😢
Might explain a slight dip in views then. That's frustrating
Slurpuff with energy ball and flamethrower was my MVP during great league.
I went 5-0 with Togekiss lead core breaking 4 out of 5. Then 1-4 against some the craziest teams I’ve seen. Go figure
It’s kinda does but depends cause my team was really weak to heliolisk but was lucky that the other opponents back line was fragile to my remaining pokemons
My favorite is guzzlord because it can wall jellicent, greninja, giratina and trevenant
Heliolisk is my favorite to run in the lead
Ultra league meta is the same, the algorithm just got you.
Ran the same team a few days later & saw a tone of Giratina & Alolan Sandslash, often on the same team
@CallumOnToast that will happen if you switch the leads on your team or tm a move. I've seen it happen too many times
QOTD: Tapu Koko, core breaks the dragonite double water core that’s very popular
Home slice Henry ran tapu koko recently
Plz run Tapu Bulu to destroy Steelix, Virizion, Fini and dragonite
Ran it towards the end of yesterday's video but only left in a few battles

Man why did you have to go and pet the world know about bulldoze. I've been running it all season and landing it on everyone.
Lol my bad. Didn't work for me as well as I was hoping but I guess my lack of grass coverage across the rest of the team was more of the issue
I've been running it with virizion and shadow amphros. Venu is still an issue however

@@CallumOnToast Giratina is kinda extinct because of Steelix.
But yeah, Master league is the worst league possible for the reasons you mentionned
Heliolisk breaks Yasser Aleed team.
I don't even know what his team is lol. Shows how much attention I've paid towards the UL recently
Bro. This is the 3rd team you suggested that is trash. No more for me. Your just recording your wins. Stop that.
