Namaskaram! 🙏🏼 Tamil Nadu is spiritually very intricate and rich. When the clip started I immediately thought about the Panchabhuta Sthalams and he mentioned them. Those temples are very powerful and very important for Shiva bhaktas. My most beloved one is Arunachaleshwara, that represents the fire element.
I agree with him that it can be overwhelming to go to too many temples at one time. One suggestion is to create a circuit of temples that are related.
Odisha is also one state that many people don't choose to visit and it has wonderful temples full of spiritual energy.

Both the names could have been given at the same time. Many tamilians who work in U.S.A shorten their tamil name so that the White Americans find it easy to pronounce and those tamil NRIs don't mind it. Both the Jambukeshwar and Thiruvanai ultimately refer to God Shiva and hence are equally important.

But I can assure you that 95% of Hindus in Tamilnadu are deeply religious and ritualistic. Either good or bad things happening in their life, they don't forget to visit a temple to surrender themselves to the God.

The Saivism inducted 64 nayanmars who were from various castes and social backgrounds to spread the religion. They made stories about them and included them into the Saivism and institutionalised with temples and teachings. The same applies to Vaishnavism. 12 Alwars were inducted into the institutionalised religion with stories and spread it to communities of those people. The kings built temples to immortalise those ideas.
This was done to categorically diminish the influence of Jainism and Buddhism. Many of these Nayanmaars and Alwars could have been from communities that were following Jainism or Buddhism.

Uthirakosamangai Temple is a historic Hindu temple located in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, India.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the 276 Paadal Petra Sthalams, a group of temples revered by the Tamil Saivite community.
"Maragatha Nataraja" refers to a specific form of Lord Nataraja (Shiva as the cosmic dancer) idol present in this temple. Here's what it means:
    - "Maragatha" means "emerald" or "green" in Tamil.
    - "Nataraja" is a depiction of Lord Shiva as the cosmic dancer, often shown with four arms and dancing on a demon (Apasmara Purusha).
So, Maragatha Nataraja is a green-hued idol of Lord Nataraja, which is a unique feature of the Uthirakosamangai Temple. The idol is believed to be made of emerald or has a greenish tint, symbolizing the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva.
The temple itself has a rich history and architectural significance, with intricate carvings and sculptures depicting various mythological scenes. It's a revered site for devotees and a treasure trove for art and history enthusiasts!
    1. Maha Shivratri: A significant Hindu festival celebrated annually in honor of Lord Shiva, the primary deity of the Uthirakosamangai Temple.
    2. Aani Thirumanjanam: A festival celebrated in the Tamil month of Aani (June-July), where the deity is adorned with flowers and worshipped.
    3. Panguni Uthiram: A festival celebrated in the Tamil month of Panguni (March-April), marking the celestial wedding of Lord Shiva and Parvati.
    4. Navaratri: A 9-day festival celebrated twice a year, honoring the divine feminine and the goddesses associated with the temple.
Aarudhra Darshan is a significant event in the Uthirakosamangai Temple!
Aarudhra Darshan is a rare and auspicious occasion when the moon is in the Arudra Nakshatra (star) and the cosmic alignment allows for a special darshan (viewing) of the Maragatha Nataraja idol in the temple. This event usually occurs once a year, typically in the Tamil month of Margazhi (December-January).
During Aarudhra Darshan, devotees gather at the temple to witness the unique alignment of the stars and the moon, which is believed to amplify the spiritual energy of the temple. The event is considered a blessing from Lord Shiva and is celebrated with special pujas, rituals, and cultural programs.
Please note that the exact date of Aarudhra Darshan varies each year based on the lunar calendar and astronomical calculations. If you're planning to attend, check with the temple authorities or local sources for the exact date and timings.
    - Arudhra Darisanam is considered a rare and auspicious occasion, occurring once a year.
    - It is believed that on this day, the cosmic alignment of the stars and the moon amplifies the spiritual energy of the temple.
    - The festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the Maragatha Nataraja idol is worshipped as the embodiment of his cosmic dance.
    *Preparations:*
    - The temple priests prepare a special santhana paste, made from sandalwood, saffron, and other sacred ingredients.
    - The paste is applied to the Maragatha Nataraja idol, covering it completely, to absorb its divine energy.
    - Devotees fast, chant, and perform special pujas to purify themselves for the darisanam.
    *Darisanam:*
    - Devotees gather at the temple for the Arudhra Darisanam, usually between 10 pm and 1 am.
    - The temple doors are opened, and the devotees witness the Maragatha Nataraja idol adorned with the santhana paste.
    - The darisanam is believed to be a powerful and blessings-rich experience, granting spiritual growth, prosperity, and liberation.
    *Removal of Santhana Paste:*
    - After the darisanam, the santhana paste is removed from the idol, symbolizing the release of the divine energy.
    - The paste is then distributed among devotees as prasadam (blessed offerings), believed to possess healing and spiritual properties.
    *Other Events:*
    - Special pujas, abhishekams (ritual bathing), and cultural programs are performed during the festival.
    - Devotees offer prayers, flowers, and other offerings to the deity.
    - The festival concludes with a grand procession, carrying the deity through the streets, accompanied by music, dance, and fanfare.
Please note that the exact timings and events may vary each year, so it's best to check with the temple authorities or local sources for the latest information.

Temple is not a shethram in Tamil nadu. Its palliyarai. Palliyarai means both class room and bed room. Palliyarai means the reason that particular temple came into existence and what was the tenets that they want to preach. The temples were not accessible to everyone in the past. They were only accessed or only people from certain communities were allowed to enter the temple. There were huge self respect movements and social justice movements that led all people to enter temples. People from certain castes were not allowed inside the temple in the past.

It's not Thiruvanaikoil. It is Thiruvanaikkaval. Named after a legend where an elephant protects shiva lingam against a spider which weaves a net over the shiva lingam, where both creatures were devotees of Lord shiva. And thus is the name Thiru-aanai-kaval.. Where does the regional layering come from here? When Malikafur tried to invade, many hindus were martyred to safeguard temples. So, you can still find temples; But unfortunately in north because of geographical location, they suffered most. Entire Hindu temples were beautiful before invasion. Jai Hind!

The South Indian kings were so good they not only were able to hold their kingdoms in India but went on to capture kingdoms in other countries as well like most of current day Thailand, Burma, Sri Lanka, Philippines etc. Do not make it look like the south was pardoned or something by the Mughals. That being said kingdoms and conquerors keep changing overtime, all is fair I guess.

Its not thiruvaanaikoyil! Its thiru aanai kaaval! Meaning that thiru-spider also refers to glorify , aanai- elephant, kaaval- protection or guarding! The shiva linga was under a tree and the spider used to weave a net over the linga to protect it and the elephat used to bring water in its trunk and pour on the linaga and performed the daily rites! So the linga is protected by these and hence it got the name! Nothing in tamil is Meaning less! Every name has its Meaning and purposes! Also in tamil we have 2 types of nameing which no language will never have! They are karanappeyar and idukooripeyar. Karanappeyar means the naming is done for the purpose it serves or for a reason. example in english we say chair and it has no Meaning the word simply denotes a chair but in tamil we call it as naarkaali which can be splitted into two words, naar and kaali. Naar means four and kaali means to posses legs. Since chair has four legs it got this name.(NOTE: kaali is not the goddess! That kaali who is goddesses has different spelling. In tamil we have 3 types of letter denoting the sound la and each has differentMeaning). And idukuripeyar which is for common nouns and it doesn't have any specific Meaning and the word simply denotes the object or the things! See how deep even naming of things have these much elaboration in tamil! And the rules aren't just this! It has like ocean i just took an example from a drop!

Whenever that was done, it was because of the local people's belief. There us nothing such mentioned in the original scriptures. Locals didn't read the scriptures and made up their own rules. That was the problem... not the kuruma itself !!!!

Sanatana Dharma something that is Eternal.......
      Never ending civilization....
As you Know, we don't follow Any religion, we never had any prophet , we Follow A Culture......
Also, people say It's Hindu religion that's not...
Hindu is a label given To the people of Bharatvarsh by infiltrator Arabs ............. We are the followers of Vaidik Dharma or Sanatan Dharma.......

@@IsaiNaren Cause it had no Beginning when & where it began, Thus It will have no end cause nature Nourished it..... That's why Its Eternal, i.e. Sanatan......

South People were forced to move from North. Their culture was destroyed in that time by Aryas. Asoka or any Indian kings could not rule South, but South Kings beaten those so called Indian kings and captured and bring Ganga.
