To resize recipes, it helps to find out the percentage of each ingredient! To find out the percentages, add up the total weight of the recipe. In this case, that's 15 ounces. Then, divide each ingredient by 15 to get the percentage. So, 4 ounces divided by 15 ounces is 26.6%. When you resize, you want the wax to be 26.6% of the recipe. =) Read more in the soapy math post: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/math-soapers/

Hello! I am new to candle making. How do I know how much soy wax to oils to use in a 8oz candle?
To resize recipes, it helps to find out the percentage of each ingredient! To find out the percentages, add up the total weight of the recipe. In this case, that's 15 ounces. Then, divide each ingredient by 15 to get the percentage. So, 4 ounces divided by 15 ounces is 26.6%. When you resize, you want the wax to be 26.6% of the recipe. =)

Hi Yvonne!
Brambleberry.com sells shea butter and avocado oil! I use them over and over again with great results. =)

I'm having a difficult time viewing your video. It seems to stop at the recipe stage. I have already watched it but i wanted to write the instructions down so i could try it at home. Please let me know when this video is up and running again. :) Thanks
