From what I understand Dolly Parton was raised in the mountains of Seiver County; Pittman Center, TN. Her family would come into town to Seiverville. She has donated quite a bit of money to the Lihrary, ect. Dolly Parton is a major part of the town. My Grandmother was a classy lady who adored Dolly Parton as did my brother who got kissed on the cheek when he was 14 years old by Dolly Parton. She was so humble She drove an old blue pickup truck. She talked to my brother for about 45 minutes before taking off. If the folks of Seiverville are like Dolly Parton the town is truly blessed. We look forward to coming to Seiverville and meeting y'all some day.
You are correct Dollys homplace is just down the street from where I live, up on locust ridge in Sevierville. Though a couple years back they put a privacy fence around the property to keep people from vandalizing her home. She has done alot with her imagination station, providing free books to children. Be sure to look me up next time your in town. God bless
@@LeeShaneREALTORSo sorry to hear people vandalize Dolly's property. I don't understand why anyone would do something like that to her or anyone else. Dolly is sweet and she doesn't need to deal with this. I don't blame her for putting up a privacy fence. Dolly is such a sweet and giving person. My Grandmother was the sweetest and giving person too. She also was a very classy person. My Grandmother had cancer even at her sickest point in her life she would jump out of bed to listen to Dolly sing. She would crouch down in front of the TV just to hear her sing because she had a hearing loss. My Grandmother always said she loved everything about Dolly. What isn't there to love? We’re planning to visit the Gatlinburg area in the fall, and who knows, we might like it so much and would want to live there some day. 🙂 I saw that Sevierville is part of the region and might be a great place to live. I also saw that the town has a population of about 14,000 and 90,000+ in Sevier County. Looking forward to our visit!
I certainly appreciate you watching my videos. Id love to meet up when your in town. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about the area. I cover most of East Tennessee. Be blessed
Just subscribed because we want to move there next year, husband just became a trucker so we have to establish income to qualify for home loan and we have to save for downpayment, looking for very small farm for garden, chickens and 2-3 goats ... originally from Asheville but have been in Louisiana for almost 5 years spending time with my 90+Grandma until we lost her in January... miss the mountains and weather, can't wait to get back, Dollywood has always been my favorite place on earth... Hope to call you neighbor sometime soon.
Thank you for watching. We just closed with a couple from Seattle. Let me know if your considering relocating to the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee.

sevierville is a great place to live especially if you like the outdoors, the Great Smoky mountains have so much to offer, let me know when your ready to make that move
I been there a few times and always loved being there and at peace. Was going to move there 10 years ago but life happen and was unable to. My wife knows this has been a dream so I'm hoping in the next 2 years I'll be able to cant wait.
Sandi. There is some unrestricted land around the outlying areas but be prepared if its decent usable land it won't be cheap. Avg price per acre is $20k over 5 acres smaller parcels can run $60k for less than an acre when available. Let me know if I can help find you something. God bless

First ill say thank you for watching my videos. Next I've gotta be honest and tell you rentals in sevierville are few and far between and worse if you have pets. If your able to find something expect to pay at least $1200/ mo. That's not saying there are less expensive out there. My suggestion is watch Facebook and www.rent.com. good luck and God bless
IF you can find one. A 3 bed 2 bath start around $1500. However lately we're seeing an increase $1700-$2400 is not uncommon. With people selling their home and no where to go are now renting an with Denson and the 2 new Amazon plants coming. Its not going to get any better. There are alot of new apartments being built and even those are renting for $1200 and up. Knoxville has some lower priced rentals if you dont mind the area. Hope that helps. I have to agree with you but you failed to mention we also have the lowest property tax in the state (to make up for living with the tourist, I suppose.)
