Thanks Dan! If you look at the video description you can see what I was faced with in order to get the GPS data out of my GoPro Hero 6 and into my video editor. It was hard work at the time! Nowadays I use an easier method. Basically I use an app - paid about £70 I think - called Telemetry Overlay (they have YT page and website). This can pull the GPS data out of a GoPro video (or a series of videos because GoPro spilts its videos up every 5-10 mins depending on quality settings). Then I take manipulate the data in Telemetry Overlay to make nice looking gauges. I export only the gauge information from there as a transparent video. I combine the result with my other camera/audio clips inside Davinci Resolve Studio and create the final video there.
I bet your 1250R is not far off these speeds as bhp is more on the S. The R torque and power band is much better due to shift cam. Great video looks like fun
Thanks Chris, well since that was my first ever trackday and I wasn't going for quick laps, I reckon I can go faster than that on the 1250! I'm really slow into corners though... need to save up for some track tuition 😊
Thanks mate I'm going back there at least three more times this year (one time will be on my BMW R1250R that I've also done a 1:59 on) so hopefully the times will keep coming down 😊
Cool camera setup, have you tried TrackAddict? Which mode did you have the bike on? run a 2017 and I bottom out the front forks, not sure if you had same experience.
Hi Matheus, it looks like Track Addict is mobile only and I do my editing on PC after the event. I was using Dynamic (not Dyna Pro) and Dynamic suspension on my 2019 model. I don't think I've bottomed out the forks yet 😊
@@RikkyTang TrackAddict is for Telemetry, you can export the data and use on Dashware for post processing, it does live track data, you can also compare sectors and such.. ok dyna-pro has no rear ABS/lift and other safety nanny's disabled. Do you run on Michelin's get your suspension and tire pressures tuned and you'll feel the difference
@@matheusrgomes Ahh I see thanks for the details about TrackAddict I'll look into it some more. I did the track day on Bridgestone S22's and at my skill level I was happy enough! I hope to do some more this year because I know there is plenty more capability in the bike 👍
Excellent, Rikky. Looked like great fun 👍
Cheers, that day was a highlight of my biking life! 😊
very nice, good view of all the information, gear shifting , breaking, .....
Thank you, I hope to get to Donington for another play this year!
Great sounds. Enjoyed it.
We will all be watching cheers.
Hi Ricky, great vid. Would you mind if I ask what the camera set up it with the GPS tracking around the circuit etc….
Thanks
Dan

Wow what an experience.
Good job dude, sub 2 mins around Donnington isn’t hanging about 👍

@@RikkyTang good luck mate, there’s no greater feeling than going down craners and up through shwantz, hopefully I’ll get my s1000r there this year 👍
