I just wanted to thank/appreciate Charlie for calling out how this does have sexist elements to it and that sexism is a real problem with twitch and with internet drama in general. Poki did literally nothing and although most people know this, it’s always her that gets the narrative change on Twitter, it’s her that’s called fake or a bitch or that she has a tier 3 sub horny for her. Ninja, although we’re all laughing at him, is getting none of that. I just wanted to thank/appreciate Charlie for calling out how this does have sexist elements to it and that sexism is a real problem with twitch and with internet drama in general. Poki did literally nothing and although most people know this, it’s always her that gets the narrative change on Twitter, it’s her that’s called fake or a bitch or that she has a tier 3 sub horny for her. Ninja, although we’re all laughing at him, is getting none of that. If the roles were reversed and Poki was threatening a defamation lawsuit over nothing, a lot of people would be quick to call her every name in the book. I mean they’d have a right to be entertained or laugh about the absurdity of it all (like we are at Ninja), but I think everyone knows deep down that it would be a lot more damaging to Poki than it is to Ninja. this is why you shouldn't take most things you read on twitter or social media very seriously. If you're primary thoughts on anything comes from something you read from social media then you probably need to at least put some of time into looking into other sources and thinking about it before you talk about it or even feel emotional about it in one way or another. This is why you should always think for yourself and this doesn't just include social media but any media no matter what political affiliation or biases you should never take one new's source as fact especially if they are appealing more to you're emotions over telling facts. You should take aim to investigate things yourself before you get mad or swayed emotionally by anything especially when it's online.
