Wowzer Kim this is a wonderful haul definitely make a bag and felt it the green alpaca make yourself a vest it would beautiful the silk is so pretty I would make myself a shawl fabulous hunting ❤️🇨🇦
Oh! I’m so jealous! 😂😂 I want to live near you! 😂😂 I got a fabulous lot of yarn from Salvation Army about 2 months ago. A queen size plastic quilt bag for $10. I have 5 full skeins of navy wool-ease. So pretty! Plus so many other premium acrylics. Oh, then there was the lot of 20 50gr balls of wool, gray, senior discount…total was $9.
Yarn pot of gold!!!! You always have such awesome thrift finds. My thrift stores mostly have 1970's super saver jumbled into some kind of yarn barf. You are a lucky gal. That sturdy wool would make awesome mittens or hat, or house socks/slippers. My absolute favorite fiber is alpaca. You should do a series or playlist called Merry Thriftmas!
How about a long sleeved jumper with the autumn colours as a panel down the front. A hint of trim elsewhere if there's enough. I've used acrylic with a small amount of alpaca and that was supersoft
SCORE! Well deserved too. I have not ventured into alpaca, silk, n such. But i finally got some cotton. Trying my hand at much needed potholders, lol. What difference from a cone in texture to a skien which turned out to be very soft.
Hi Kim....You made a killing on that yarny haul. Thanks for sharing. Just wanted to come leave a comment to let you know I'm here watching your vids n lurking in your alls live as I crochet. 💖💋🤟🌳👀🌳 Hugs from San Angelo,TX
I love the last bag you showed of the yarn you said could be a felted bag. I wish I could find something like this but we only have one small thrift store in my area unless I go to bakersfield but even then some else who knows that area well will get it first. In the small thrift store in my area I did find some great skirts and hopefully I can go again with má since she hasn't been there in a long time since they open. But anyway I did like the last sturdy wool colors you showed very nice...
I’m always scared to thrift yarn anywhere cause every time I go to any goodwill there’s always been baskets of yarn with needles with poop In them. And I’ve been to locations In Frederick, West Virginia and Maryland I wouldn’t go to far out of the way to go again. But it seems like this may be a recurring issue for some goodwills. You’d think they turn it down or throw that out but hmm weird quality control
Make a sweater with your alpaca if you have enough!
How exciting🎉 and so happy you had a great find.
Yes! Thank you!
