I don't know if you noticed this, but currently wave enemy composition on MCC is bugged, probably when 343 added floodfight. Initial waves should always be a mix of grunts and jackals, yet now it's possible to get a wave of either just full grunts or jackals. Also in the boss wave grunts should never spawn and yet here they're pretty common. You can even view this in your earlier firefight videos, the way I found your channel was looking for old firefight videos to make sure I wasn't going crazy and remembering wrong.
It's always one step forward and 3 steps back with 343.
